Accenture opens another (3rd) facility in Cebu
Sunstar Online 7 November TO ADD to its capacity to deliver information technology and business process outsourcing services, Accenture formally inaugurated its third facility in Cebu yesterday, bringing its workforce in Cebu City to over 2,000. Accenture Philippines managing director Manolito Tayag announced to reporters yesterday that their four-floor facility in the eBloc Tower 2 at the Cebu IT Park would service the company’s IT and BPO needs. This brings to 15 the number of facilities Accenture has in the Philippines. They are also expected to open their 16th facility in McKinley Hill, Taguig City soon. Aside from the new office in the eBloc Tower 2, Accenture also has delivery centers at the Pioneer House at the Cebu Business Park, which was the first facility outside of Metro Manila and was opened in 2007, and at Robinson’s Cybergate, which was opened in 2010. BPOs to generate 500K jobs between 2013 and 2016, says House member
LOCAL business-process outsourcing (BPO) firms are expected to generate more than 500,000 new jobs between 2013 and 2016. “Of our more than 800 BPO players, we see the heavyweights hiring most aggressively over the next three years,” said House Deputy Majority Leader Roman Romulo in a news statement. “Their economies of scale will enable them to quickly draw in more business that will necessitate the recruitment of thousands of additional staff,” he added. “The larger BPO firms have cost advantages. Owing to their size, they can easily offer both existing and new clients all kinds of back-office and business-support services at highly competitive prices,” Romulo said. Accenture Inc., Convergys Philippines Services Corp. and TeleTech Customer Care Management Philippines Inc. have emerged as the country’s largest BPO entities by gross revenues and full-time staff. With over 25,000 employees in 13 locations in the Philippines, Accenture reported P22.256-billion revenues in 2011, up 27.7 percent from 2010. Convergys and TeleTech posted P14.400 billion (up 21 percent) and P11.250 billion (up 19.5 percent) in revenues, respectively. Convergys employs about 30,000 personnel in 19 sites all over the Philippines, while TeleTech has a staff of around 20,000 in 14 facilities. Source

 ACCENTURE is no. 1 ...Cebu City has 3 facilities of Accenture!  4. CBRE, 6. NCR, 7. Wipro and 10. Teletech -- all these have sites in Cebu!
