In my opinion it is by far the most recognized skyscraper in NY and truly a stunning feet of engineering when you realise that the building is already 80 years old, made in Americas golden age

The building at the time was more of a vision/fantasy than a reality on terms of size, height, and construction time. The most famous building of all time, and a true, classical inspiration. On appearance though, it is not my favorite Art Deco, but nevertheless, 8.5.

For me, this is THE skyscraper. It has been there when my grandparents were born, when my parents were born, when I was born, and now it's still there, and it's looking as magnificient as ever. And especially for people from former Soviet satellite states, like the east of Germany in my case, it has always been one of the outstanding symbols of the west we admittedly looked up to in many aspects. And as a small boy you're fascinated with great technological feats anyway, I've had an engineer grow in me since my childhood, partly because of this building. I can't think of a world without it.

Any building that is not glassy will never get a 10 from me no matter how beautiful it is. The max I can give is 9 only.
