Hi guys and girls. Just a few questions, I currently live in the UK. However I have a job interview with a London based recruitment firm who want to move me to Pardubice if successful. This has got me thinking though, as if I was successful and I did move over to the CR. What can I expect? I have never ever done anything like this before, and I'm very indecisive about the whole idea. I would be on around 25,000.00 czk is that enough? And what's Pardubice like? As well as the people?

Any help, advice, links would be fantastic. I look forward to everyone's ideas. Thanks.

Well, 25k is an average wage in here. It's not so special offer if it comes to money I guess and Pardubice is a nice town but I would not choose it over London if I were you. ;-)

You would be moving from Britain's second city to the tenth largest Czech city, so you would probably miss some of the facilities you are currently used to. Otherwise Pardubice has a good reputation, apart from sporadic explosions in the factory producing Semtex (nothing to worry about though )

P.S. Today, a like button has been added as a new feature, let's hope that this will reduce the amount of single smiley posts and 'nice photo!' posts

The button is quite inconspicuous and I probably wouldn't notice it, so have a like for the info

Ač má Liberec pět čtvrtí jako Praha a o tucet pahorků víc než Řím, má přece pro svou roztroušenost a nepravidelnost zcela jen ráz venkovského a sice pohorského městečka.

He didn't get London as a choice, it's Birmingham or Pardubice and you can't compare Pardubice to London! Living in Czech Republic is a great experience and I would highly recommend it. Go for it.
