Here's the 10 biggest cities in Oklahoma by Obama/McCain:

Broken Arrow: 25.9% Obama, 74.1% McCain (City is typically 35.3% Dem, 64.7% Rep)
Edmond: 27.8% Obama, 72.2% McCain (City is typically 37.3% Dem, 62.7% Rep)
Enid: 24.9% Obama, 75.1% McCain (City is typically 40.0% Dem, 60.0% Rep)
Lawton: 43.0% Obama, 57.0% McCain (City is typically 53.1% Dem, 46.9% Rep)
Midwest City: 42.5% Obama, 57.5% McCain (City is typically 51.5% Dem, 48.5% Rep)
Moore: 29.5% Obama, 70.5% McCain (City is typically 40.6% Dem, 59.4% Rep)
Norman: 48.0% Obama, 52.0% McCain (City is typically 55.4% Dem, 44.6% Rep)
Oklahoma City: 40.1% Obama 59.9% McCain (City is typically 48.2% Dem, 51.8% Rep)
Stillwater: 40.2% Obama, 59.8% McCain (City is typically 49.9% Dem, 50.1% Rep)
Tulsa: 43.2% Obama, 56.8% McCain (City is typically 50.7% Dem, 49.3% Rep)

The city is typically numbers refer to average percentages for major candidates in statewide races, hence why all cities vote more Democratic at a state level. Keep in mind that most of these cities voted for Kerry in higher percentage terms so the Obama numbers are like the floor for Democratic candidates. I would take the average of both measures to get a good sense of how Democratic/Republican a place is. I don't think there's any "liberal" places in Oklahoma and the most liberal city is probably Tahlequah or Muskogee

Interesting, as it appears that Democratic-leaning areas were even more so in 2008.

See that southeast corner of Oklahoma? That's "Little Dixie." Traditionally conservative Democrats, apparently going red. Probably because of the association with Obama.

I can't imagine Tulsa county going slightly more democratic... I mean, I can, but, I've heard from people within the county GOP that Republicans have been outpacing Democratic registration over the past 3 years.

after farther research I noticed that my information was wrong about Edmond Oklahoma...Oklahoma most Liberal Area is Cherokee County with Tahlequah Oklahoma as it's primary city ....which
voted 44% for Barack Obama http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherokee_County,_Oklahoma

Most liberal is 44% for Obama. BWA-HA-HA!

Seriously, I know that this is SSC (and I'm not a Republican, I don't vote) but Oklahoma needs to stop apologizing for being so conservative. It's a great state with great cities and great people.

Oklahoma is the only state in the country in which every county voted "red" Republican in the 2008 election!

And the state was awash in red in 2012 as each and every county ended up going all red once again....

Tahlequah and Norman being the most Liberal both having a rep majority however ...

I think it's so funny how this thread keeps getting revived, and with unrelated posts to the pictures originally posted

Perhaps I took some pic of Wichita KS ,my flight was canceled due to weather and I got to stay in Wichita for one day and got some pics, everything was snow covered but seems a nice town..Is there any therad of Wichita where to post them? I couldnt find any and I don't want to open a whole new thread.

Thanks for the pics, and those aren't bad at all considering they're from a cell phone. Hope you enjoyed your short stay in Tulsa.

The best shots of downtown Tulsa are always from the south. From the south looks so much denser and there are multiple mid-rises that aren't visible from the direction your shots are (which are from the north & NW, just saying for perspective). However, you can see the newest addition, OnePlace tower, in a few of your shots such as this one:

As for a Wichita thread, that'll be in the Midwest forum, I believe.

Thanks again!
