Nice. Hale is a great baseball man and a future manager.

RA Dickey is a Jay pending a physical. We just picked up the 2012 NL Cy Young. This off season is unreal.

Our number 1 starter last year is now number 5. Romero doesn't even need to have a bounce back year and we should be able to reach the post season.

I'm so happy that AA didn't dick around this off season like he did last year. Good to see that he is going all in now. Our rotation is set now and we still have Hutchinson and Drabek who will hopefully make successful recoveries and live upto their potential in a year or two. We also have Happ, who I thought was good for a fifth starter but will now work out of the bullpen and fill in when someone gets injured. Good to see we have at least one solid option unlike last year when we had no experienced starters to go to when the regulars got injured.

This has been quite the off-season. Apparently, the Jays are now 8-1 to win it all, which is the best odds in all of baseball. Should be quite the exciting year!

Go jay go! Good pitching good hitting could only mean good things are on their way. So buy your season tickets today. Makes a rhyme.

Sorry, but this has to be one of the silliest things I've ever heard; Buehrle is going to leave his family in St Louis because of the pit bull ban here. All that extra commuting just for a dog?:

Why doesn't he just buy a home on the outskirts of Buffalo?

Mind boggling. Instead of being able to see the family every night, it will only be for special occasions. The dog takes preference over the family unity.

Even though I absolutely support the pit bull ban, I can understand why he would do that. Many people treat pets like their children. It would be difficult to simply abandon them.

Yeah, I don't see any issue with loving your dogs, but why St. Louis? Just move to western NY......not like he can't afford to buy a sweet house in Amherst or something.

Rotation:
1. Dickey (righty soft knuckle)
2. Brandon Morrow (righty, hard)
3. Mark Buehrle (lefty soft)
4. Josh Johnson (righty hard)
5. Ricky Romero (lefty finesse)

This team is stacked. The variety of pitches and change from lefty to righty is going to mess up the opposition hitters. When you have Josh Johnson as #4 in your rotation, it's just not fair.

How about middle relief, and closer?
What's the projected batting order.

The bullpen is quite strong. I would guess it would look something like this: Oliver, Loup, Rogers, Lincoln, Delabar, Janssen, Santos.....as long as they're all healthy. The projected batting order could look something like this:

SS Reyes
LF Cabrera
RF Bautista
1B Encarnacion
DH Lind
3B Lawrie
CF Rasmus
C Arencibia
2B Bonifacio/Izturis

Lind better pick up his game quick. So far, he seems like the only deadweight in the roster.

He was born and grew up in the St. Louis area - he has a lot of family there

Shit and he's going to be the one batting 5th, teams are going to pitch around Bautista and not give him anything to hit. We need another guy who can steal bases and hit close to .300 in the second spot then move Melky or Edwin into the fifth spot then. Hopefully Rasmus will have a big bounce back year and can be the two hitter needed.

I don't think that a base-stealer is the best option for the two-hole. When guys steal in front of Bautista, he gets intentionally walked....almost every time. I don't think we want the bat taken out of our most dangerous hitter's hands.

Yes but we've got two guy hitting between 2and4 in Melky or Edwin who are both as if not more dangerous then José.
