Yes, the 7M is just for the consultants fees to produce documents and schematics. Contruction cost would start from a hundred million if development of existing to more than a billion if new airport.

wow, that big. hope they can come up with a long term plan for Surigao Airport.

Several planners from Korea and the US had already made their initial assessment that our airport must be relocated somewhere else.

The feasibility study will reveal that but with governments limited resources, it will most likely end up in an upgrade, enough to accommodate A320 or 737. There's two caveats though, the river beyond and the adjacent hill. The upgrade has to be done in ICAO standards so if physical boundaries won't allow it then most likely relocation.

Any vacation places in the area? Kinda wanting to travel the southern part of the Philippines. I've gone to many places in the North but not so much in the south.

Surigao airport is ten minutes away from the city proper... Surigao city is 3 hours away by barge, RoRo to Dapa, Siargao island.. And it would take another 15 to 20 minutes from Dapa to General Luna, the surfing town!

But theres an airport in siargao... Sayak airport i think... And CEB / 5J serves cebu-Siargao flights
