I think I'm picking up what you're putting down.
![]() I used various unmentioned sources for my World Trade Center North Tower models. I might look into modeling the roof of the underground hall if you don't get to that yourself. I'm looking forward for updates on the physical model and also how the flying ribs attach to the existing structure. Maybe you could make a sketch. is it something like: BStyles at Wired New York I might make a better 3WTC model if I can find more sources without setting off alarms. |

Sorry for late post, been quite bussy. As I previously posted on the Hub thread, every wing consists of three major components, where each component is divided again by sections. For example, the portals are sectioned in three: subportal, lower and upper portal sections. The arch section comes complete and the rafters are divided according to the length (some of them are so short that there's no need to splice them)

I'm wondering, which material do you use for the wings in the model. And are you going to make them all with hand or are you able to use a shaper that makes it via computer drawings?

After several examinations and reviewing the real life dimensions, I'll go for the 1mm cardboard. I will print the overall dimensions of each wing and then use the papers as a reference when I cut them manually.

Wow, i give you already a lot of respect for this work, I don't think, I would have the patience to make each wing by my self. But I guess you are so dedicated to this project like I am with the Robie House. So it's kind of a motivation to make it as clean and perfect as possible.

^There's a total of 114 ribs to cut, the 3D model is complete, so I'm just waiting to have the time and repair my printer to continue with the scale model.
I'm waiting for more updates on your FLW house, keep 'em coming!

Oh yes. That's a nice one. I know this Lego Model and I really like it, that Lego startet to have an architecture line, but here in Germany it's f***ing expensive.

I am very glad to hear that your printer is fixed! I still can't wait for you to install the flying ribs on this masterpiece!
Do you have any idea of where you are going to put it when it's done?

My friend hasn't given me the damn camera, first pieces were installed a long time ago on the east section, they look quite nice.
Model will be placed at my desktop
