Wrigley Field or Comiskey Park?
Hi from Spain!
First excuse my English disastrous. I'm madly trying to figure out what is the stadium. I have only two data: year 1949 and one of the two stadium that I have written in the title. difficult, right? I don´t know what to do more Thanks for any help.

No clue either...then again, I'm not that into baseball.
How do you know it's Wrigley or Comiskey? I see the Chicago uniform and stuff, but there's nothing to suggest that it's either of those two. |

The old timer monicker really makes that guy look even goofier. Yeah its true, no context clues and its such a tight shot, no way to really tell.
http://gapersblock.com/tailgate/2012...-white-sox.php Couldve been spring training in Pasadena? Who knows? This is definitely a later photo.

Appears to be Comiskey Park about 1948. Joe Murphy was an Andy Frain usher who worked in Chicago.
See pic and articles below (second article includes pic shown at the top of this thread): http://www.interestingideas.com/out/pix/jmm.jpg http://www.interestingideas.com/out/40b.htm http://www.interestingideas.com/out/Murphy/index.html Last edited by jon5202; December 3rd, 2012 at 01:14 AM. |

thanks jon5202, but many people have doubts. The truth is that Marilyn was in Chicago in 1949.
And we wonder what field can be: Comiskey or Wrigley? I would´t discredit the site that you indicated, but there are some errors. I know this site, which is wonderful, but again, with errors. I must assume that it´s difficult to know exactly where that photo was taken... ![]() but thanks for your effort and time. |
