It's called Our House, open 3 meals a day. I haven't eaten there yet but the interior looks great, and I believe they have some kind of connection to barfly because their dressing is mentioned on the menu, and they have a lot of pizza and bavarian pretzels just like barfly.

Anyone hear anything on this? it is where the Crest Lock Co. was/is...
10015 Pulaski Highway Proposal: The request is to raze two buildings, remove two containers, remove a portion of the warehouse, construct an addition to Building "A" and a small addition to Building "D". |

Looks great. My only concern is how this will impact parking on that block of Harvey and Boyle streets. Right now there is parallel parking on those streets which looks like will be decreased (if not eliminated entirely) with this project.
I wonder how restricted the garage parking will be? If people didn't do a terrible job parking to begin with my concern wouldn't be as great. No one knows how to parallel park...there are always 4-6 foot gaps between cars, cars that don't pull all the way up to a corner when they park on the end of the block which eliminates room to park behind them, etc. I always get so angry just observing how terrible the parking etiquette is. I never would have thought the concept of pulling up as far as you can when you park is so hard to grasp, but apparently it is. If everyone would just pull up all the way to the corner or the car in front of them so much more room for other cars would be created. And people who throw off the parking pattern for the whole street just so they can park in front of their door...don't even get me started on those people. Besides, having your bumper get knicked a few times is just part of living in any city, in my opinion. |

![]() I understand what you are saying but I try to leave a little space in front of me so that I can get out without dinging my car or anyone elses. Its not a half a car length.. but just enough to insure that I can get out.. The reason why is because you can gurantee the guy behind you is going to park right up on your azz in which you can best believe someone is going to get dinged.... ![]() Though I Like south baltimore and southeast.. the reason why I would never move down there is because of the parking situation.. .My wife is from South Carolina where parallel parking is a perjorative term and she wouldnt stand for it ....When our Realtor showed us some homes around Patterson Park she asked our Realtor. "How do you keep people from parking in your space in front of your house?" The Realtor and I just looked at each other

![]() I must say though, living in SoBo has made me an expert at parallel parking. I've impressed friends on a few occasions with my enhanced abilities thanks to city living. |

New development planned for 1201 South Charles St. Project will include a complete tear down of the existing structure, and the construction of a new 5 story building. Original plans have 16 units, each with 2 bedrooms, and a 16 car underground parking garage.

What does drive me nuts though is when people take a parking restriction sign as a 'can't park past this sign-sign'. BTW, I'm with you on being prepared to get a few dings on your bumper if you live in the city and don't have a parking pad. Life sucks and so does parking in the city, so get a helmet (and/or a bumper bra). Leaving a half car length isn't going to prevent your bumper from getting dinged, so better to help out your neighbors and fellow parkers. cheers! |

A developer (Mark Sapperstein) has been chosen for the two plots to the north and southeast of Silo Point; they'll be putting in rowhouses (with ground floor garages) in those spaces. I think they'll be 3 stories tall, with rooftop deck I'm sure. The design isn't finalized yet. Hopefully they'll be better looking than McHenry Pointe, but I guess we'll see. They're supposedly going for a brick/industrial look to compliment the look of Silo Point.
edit: forgot to mention that there will be 55 of them, which is a lot fewer than they were originally projecting 3-4 years ago. No new retail/restaurant space is planned. |

In general, I think enforcement is very lax on the building line rule if you're 1-2 feet past, but if the vehicle is clearly in the walkpath, I've seen it ticketed. If you don't like it, lobby your neighbors to get it changed! But I bet you'll run into more folks that agree with this rule than you think. |

Yes, there was a proposal on the table a few years ago to build close to 1,000 units on the Point. That one got shot down by the NIMBYs in the community association, but it doesn't seem to affecting the pace of building around there. The Townes at LP are already sold out, I think, and people around the city have a very good perception of the area. I really hope all the new restaurants down there make it; they always seem so empty.

For about the 4th time in 7 years, the property next to Zelda Zen on Cross St seems to be under construction. I can't wait to see how far they get before stopping this time.

I was looking at it as bad news because they are taking out HarborQue, but I'm hearing they may already be in the process of moving... so that would be great news all around.
