Crocker Galleria: New vs. Old
Anyone noticed they just remodeled Crocker Galleria. I havn't been there since they remodeled but prefer the orginal overal. I looks decent in some of the pics but there is something about the new version that just isn't right.

Based on the pictures, I think I prefer the old but I'll need to see it live to be sure.

Something about the red, black, and white color scheme doesn't work. Also the white seperating the red arch from the roof looks awkward. It does look ok from some angles. When will they repaint it back to the way it was?

Not much with the eatery choices, but some interesting shops in there too, including a Ralph Lauren Home store. I find Crocker Galleria as a hidden gem in the Financial District, but I still think that it can be improved further with better restaurants, I find their Farmers' Market to be a good draw too for office workers.

In fact, Crocker Galleria is along my walking path between Battery & Sacramento and Montgomery BART. Let me take pics there when I get a chance.

I have to see it for myself but the change doesn't seem subtle at all. What especially bothers me has the white area sperates the red from the black and whatss with those black banners? Looks like even the triangles are painted black?

I saw an old picture in a book from about 20 years ago where it was painted a more blueish color.
