I wrote an article once with the help of Eli: Port of Tripoli and Im going to work on the Tripoli, Lebanon article in the near future (I already added a panorama of he city at the end of the article and another photo)

and yeah someone should work on the leb cities articles... the only respectable ones right now are beirut's and saids's... the rest are just crap !! so yeah tripoli should be a priority

Good idea Martyr. About Jounieh, I've got TONS of pictures for it that I've taken some 4 weeks ago or so, most of them are nice. I've also made a special panoramic picture of Jounieh with a Gazillion MegaPixels. Most of the pictures were taken from Harissa or from inside the telepherique. The only problem is that it was somewhat cloudy, but I can fix that using PS to get a better result. (It won't be perfect though, we'll see anyway.)

It's getting very late tonight, so maybe I can come up with something tomorrow. A beintot...

Someone vandalized a part of the Lebanon wiki page, If you click on the National Anthem it will lead you to an extremely inappropriate photo.....does someone know how to undue this?



*edit, It seems like if you click anything on that right hand side banner you are lead to the photo.

why didnt anyone pm about this? i discovered ur posts by mistake, anyway, of course i didnt mean to steal ur pics guys, i didnt even know that they showed the author's name to the public, so i didnt want to claim property, but when u r uploading a pic to wikipedia, they inquire about its source, if the pic is from a website then it gets taken down, same goes for flickr (very few flickr pics have the proper licence to be featured on wiki), so the easiest fastest most guaranteed way is to just say click on the "i took the picture" option, i know its still not acceptable, but i'm working on several articles and i have very little free time and even less available material on the internet. the pictures posted by zippo where uploaded a while ago i think, i was preparing them for the waterfront section in the BCD article which i finished today btw (check it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beirut_...front_District ) so if u search the wikimedia commons i will believe u will find some pics also which i've been keeping as a reserve for other articles or future expansions. i'm so sorry for the inconvenience, if u wish for the pics to be deleted then just tell me

(if anyone wishes to contribute, i need pics for the marina, zaitunay bay, biel, beirut exhibition center :P )

When I saw them, I knew they were familiar. By checking the cameras they were taken with, I doubted they were yours (Abdallah's Rebel XSi and Rabih's 20D). A simple search here proved that I was right.

Martyr, this kind of intellectual property abusiveness isn't accepted, whether intentionally or (as I'm sure it's the case), unintentionally.

There's nothing in the world that feels worse than seeing your work used without giving you credits, but seeing it used AND credited to someone else.

Please fix the problem (and others if any) ASAP...

Honestly, you should be praised for your awesome effort in Wikipedia, so keep it up man.

Check out the banner's thread, and see my Marina picture that made it into banner. If you find it suitable for your needs, PM me so I can hand you a version without watermark, and with any resolution that you wish to have. Just don't "steal" it kamen (LOL, kidding). Don't worry, all the info (watermark) are encrypted in the EXIF of the picture itself, so Wikipedia will retrieve them automatically.

Ok I'm new here and I love towers, that being said I created days ago a page on wikipedia called: List of tallest buildings in Lebanon, and the main reason is because almost every other country got one lol
