I don't think a deal has been reached. Vornado razed the 58th St wing of 220 CPS down to the ground floor where the entrance to Extell's below-grade garage is located.

If Extell owns the garage, what right does Vornado have to tell Extell what to do with it?

Extell merely has a lease with Vornado. As I recall, the lease contains favorable language for Vornado.

Personally, I think that a 180-200m tower on 220 CPS is good news for 225, as it would guarantee a higher structure.

Demolition almost complete on this one. No word on whether the dispute has been resolved.

So this will be the tallest building at Central Park with the Trump International Hotel and Tower. But still it will be overshadowed by 225 W 57th.

Extell's lease expires on the remaining garage in 2018, although Vornado claims Extell is in default of that lease and wants their garage back sooner. Lawyers currently feasting on the contratemps...
