I wonder, is it applicable to all the DOM-TOMs? The funny thing is, I have met quite a few people from the French Antilles and Réunion here in France, but never anyone from French Polynesia for example. Or French Guyana.

As of 2008:
- 25.5% of the natives of Guadeloupe lived in Metropolitan France
- 25.0% of the natives of Martinique lived in Metropolitan France
- 16.4% of the natives of French Guiana lived in Metropolitan France
- 13.6% of the natives of Réunion lived in Metropolitan France

Among the students (university level):
- 44.7% of the natives of Martinique who were students lived in Metropolitan France
- 43.1% of the natives of Guadeloupe who were students lived in Metropolitan France
- 42.3% of the natives of French Guiana who were students lived in Metropolitan France
- 30.4% of the natives of Réunion who were students lived in Metropolitan France

I don't have the figures for New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Mayotte, but there are also quite a few natives of these territories who live in Metropolitan France.

In 2008 there were 26,000 natives of the French Pacific territories who lived in Metropolitan France, and about 15,000 natives of Mayotte who lived in Metropolitan France.
