Developer’s 64-storey project in Lower Parel bags int’l award
http://epaper.dnaindia.com/story.asp...0009&ed_page=7 It’s considered the Oscars of the real estate sector and for city-based Avighna Group, the prestigious award is the perfect testimony to the quality and consistency of its flagship project. One Avighna Park, the 64-storey residential towers being developed by Avighna Group in Lower Parel, was bestowed with the ‘World’s Best Residential High-Rise Development’ award at a glittering ceremony in London earlier this month. The awards, instituted by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, attracted entries from over 2,000 companies from 88 participating countries, including the US, the UK, Russia, China, UAE and Singapore. Spread over seven acres, One Avighna Park is expected to be completed next year. Group chairman Kailash Agarwal said: “It is a tremendous honour, not only for us but for our entire country to win such a prestigious award. When we travel to New York or Hong Kong, we often admire and wish that someday, we too will live and work in landmark developments. Now, Mumbai will have the absolute best and I congratulate all those who are associated with One Avighna Park for contributing towards this unprecedented achievement.” One Avighna Park will offer a combination of luxury and sustainability to homebuyers, not only using a wide array of imported materials but also hiring the skill and experience of contractors from around the globe to make a building of international standards. More than 300 skilled labours and professionals have been relocated from the Middle East to work on the project. The financial numbers of the competition are staggering, with the combined valuation of the participating projects exceeding Rs90,000 crore. Judging for the “World’s Best” International Property Awards is carried out through a meticulous process involving a panel of over 80 experts, covering every aspect of the property business. The judges not only look for the most impressive and innovative projects, they also examine the sustainability and eco-friendliness of every property. “We are happy that our uncompromising philosophy of quality over quantity has been recognised by such a prominent international forum,” said Avighna India’s managing director Nishant Agarwal. He added that the internationally renowned team of consultants and contractors will ensure that One Avighna Park is one of the most sought-after addresses in the world. Earlier in the year, International Property Awards had awarded One Avighna Park in other categories as well - the development had won awards for ‘Best Apartments in India’, ‘Best Residential Redevelopment/Renovation in India’ and ‘Best Architecture in India’.
