The webcam picture was taken today (see date stamp). The lack of change is due to lack of progress on the bridge itself.

They generally shut down during winter, as they've done the last several due to lack of light and the weather being a bit harsh. Daylight that far north is only 6 or so hours. It appears that they were trying to get all the deck sections hung by this winter's shut down and did for the most part. It appears that the last section does not fit since in the final days before they broke for winter break I viewed the camera and they were lifting it several different positions as well as with the next section and just couldn't set that last one just right. It's like they said of the hell with it, we'll get to it in the spring.

I find the construction pictures fascinating. Always wondered how they built the roadway sections of suspension bridges and how they were 'hung'. Presumably the towers have to be designed to take the uneven load whilst this operation is in progress.
