Berlin has nothing, not even a team in the first liga, and as a stadium Dortmund is parsecs ahead when it comes to football, so they don't have such pressure to choose a final during a very good period.
Berlin hosted the 2006 WC Final, Dortmund never hosted a major final despite totally being capable of doing so, while Munich hosting in 2012 might slow up a final in Dortmund, if they want, they might easily get one in 2-3 years, but with the new "system", they could choose anything, and each way, I don't find it important if a Final is hosted 3 times in 5 years in a country, they're different stadiums, where different teams play, and different people live nearby.
Maybe Berlin and Bonn are/were German capitals, but when it comes to football, it all moves to Munich and Dortmund.
That's rubbish. Berlin has an extensive football history and tradition as any other city in the country. Munich and Dortmund aren't as special as you want us to think as football is vastly more than one or two successful professional clubs.

The entrance hall has already been refurbished, the passenger access tunnel, the platforms and the access tunnel to the subway station are in a very poor condition!

Do you really think football fans from Madrid and Manchester (or others) are interested in a visit of the DFB Museum on the matchday of a UCL final?

IMO not. Steeper stands are not allowed in Germany.

They could just enlarge the current stands by adding rows on all upper tiers and south terrace. With the same angle.Kinda like they did at San Siro, but with the same angle. They could add at least 15 rows everywhere.Would reach 80k all seater and get the nod ahead of Berlin for finals and other events.Hell they could add even 30 rows. They have the fans.

The colour of the seating and terraces is horrible, who thought that dull grey colour is a good idea?

They have the fans, that's for sure. But do we know whether it's relatively doable on an engineering and economic level? Or even if they are planning at all to do so in the future?

Is't that just the concrete for the standing terrace? The rest of the seats are black and yellow.

The c-claue is already 9 and the corners even 6,5cm.

the corners even 6,5cm?what does that mean? The c-value stays the same if the angle of the upper tier stays the same.Right?so what is the problem. They will do teh same thing to the Bernabeu.Get more rows on the very steep upper tiers at the same angle.

Actualy not.
If the angle stays the same and you add more rows the c value will get lower.
The distance to the pitch is also important. Thats also one of the reason why the distance at some ne w stadiums is quite big.

At the corners the c value is just 6,5

Simply adding more standing room only and less seats...

They do have the fans, but that would cost far too much to ever be recovered from tickets (unless Borussia go the Old Trafford way, which I hope will never happen for the sake of Borussia fans!). Extending stands would also mean the need to extend the roof and that would be extremely expensive. Doesn't seem viable.

I'd drink to that. so would many people, but this also doesn't seem like the answer, at least in economical terms...
