Palacio de Santa Catalina, San Juan, Puerto Rico

Since 1540 it has been the official residence of every governor of Puerto Rico and it's still the oldest executive mansion in continuous use in the Americas. It was occupied two times by foreing invasion. The first one by George Clifford (Count of Cumberland) in 1598 and the second one by dutch Baldwin Heinrich (please excuse my dutch) in 1625. According to tradition, in 1898, moments before the americans took control of the island after the spanish-american war, governor Ricardo de Ortega (the last spanish governor) broke a clock with his sword marking the last moment of spanish rule in Puerto Rico. The clock remains exactly the same (marking the last hour) ever since. It was listed by UNESCO in 1983 as a World Heritage Site. Here some pictures:

Palaces of the Pacific - Humble but important for their people

I guess this might not count as a Palace, however this is the official residence of the Maori King. It is a complex of buildings (Turangawaewae Marae) with the following notable buildings:

1. Mahinarangi - a reception hall for the King to host guests
2. Turongo - containing the private rooms of the King
3. Raukawa Iti - containing rooms for the King's guests
4. Kimiora - a large banqueting facility capable of hosting hundreds of diners in one sitting
5. Grace and favour cottages for workers (Ringawera) and close members of the King's family (Kahui Ariki).

There are also smaller dining facilities for larger occassions to be used as overflow during large tribal gatherings and large guest houses to sleep communually up to 1000 people.

Mahinarangi in the middle and Turongo to the right. To the left of Mahinarangi is now Raukawa Iti.

Kimiora. The two A frame rooves to the right are Pare Hauraki and Pare Waikato - two guest sleeping houses with kitchens and dining rooms to house people during important tribal gatherings such as the King's annual coronation commemorations (Koroneihana).

Below are some of the photos of the finest 'classical' house/mansion in the Philippines w/c is located south of the capital, Manila. It was constructed in a span of 16 years and has a sprawling lot area of 3.5 hectares on the topmost part of the City.

The house was patterned with the most beautiful ever constructed structure in the world w/c is the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The interior space covers around 6,800 sqm with 50 rooms/division and its interiors were inspired by the various palaces in Europe. The finishing were tastefully crafted to the highest standards akin to that of the finest palaces found in Europe. To name a few, all rooms have 24 karat gold bathroom fixtures while the furnishings were inspired by Louis IV furniture.

Finest??? European standard??? You have absolutely no ideas how European Palaces look like. That building is just another ugly fake neoclassical building in Asia.

Of course, its one of the 'finest' neoclassical architecture we have in the Philippines and its not really a palace but a private mansion. I did not say its the finest amongst the palaces/structures of the world, right?

When you look at classic architecture, we mostly derive ideas from European structures, agree? So i guess this is probably one of the best example for that in our country. So i don't think its wrong to post such great structures from your homeland.
