This makes my third banner on SkyscraperCity. As far as lighting, color, composition, and subject matter, I can't do any better than this.

Q, GTA Vice City is a video game, one of the more famous titles in the series Grand Theft Auto and is set in a fictional Miami. It came out about 10 years ago but apparently has had a lasting impact on some around the world.

I don't know if everyone posting about Niemeyer is putting lower scores or what.

It looks like Jan got his days mixed up and people were expecting the Oscar Niemeyer banner instead of the Florida Gold Coast banner and voted me down because they were mad about the mix up.

Well, I would just say that's SO insanely nerdy that I wouldn't worry about it. It was a beautiful shot, regardless.

This actually makes me want to see an Opa-Locka banner (for real). Why the fuck not? If people take it that seriously they deserve to be tweaked.

(and for the sweaty-palmed, frantic geek living in a damp basement in London fretting about such things, Niemeyer has his banner today)

Was it two images stitched together? Or was the little shadow in the middle of the image from the airplane window or something? I do love the picture.

Dave, I think you're the only person who's noticed that or at least commented on it. That is actually the propeller blade I'm shooting through. I almost tossed this photo out because the propeller blade was so obvious to me. Then, I thought "It's obvious to you because you know it's there, but some people will just see it as cloud shadows." So I kept it. I'm glad I did because it's now one of my favorites.

Those little islands remind me the days I used to kayak @ Oleta Park. Reaching them was the last frontier...LOL!

There is a lot in that shot. That is one of the reasons why I like it, along with all the blue water. I didn't notice FIU until a while after I had taken the photo. This one and the two others of mine that have been banners I'm putting on coffee mugs for Christmas, not because they were banners, but because a similar cropping is what works best to wrap around a mug.
