It seems to be in the middle of nowhere. On the pictures posted on Damac Website, we have the feeling that there is even no road access....

We actually it is between two major roads so this won't be the problem but yes it is isolated from the rest of business bay.

Well if The Lotus development ends up being the FOUR tower blocks that it should be to complete the four petals of the Lotus Flower, then I would think they'd need one hell of a size of site!

Nowhere in 11 pages of Bulletin Board does it mention anything else than 58(61 Storeys) and 64(67 storeys) The bracketed figures are the announced number of floors added to the 3 floors of above ground parking.
Some correspondents here say that the figures 58 and 61 already include the 3 levels for carparking........ Others say that the figures given out (58 and 61 for La Residence and La Residence 2 respectively) are the saleable floor levels, i.e. over and above the parking floors.

I believe the old UN plot will be used to complete a bridge/interchange construction. It was right in the path of an incomplete bridge.

If Damac don't mess out with this lotus project delivery it is a still gold nugget for investors.

Damac Properties, a Dubai-based developer, on Wednesday launched a $1 billion hotel and branded serviced apartment project in Downtown Dubai, a master development that has seen the maximum project launches to date this year in the emirate.

The developer, in a statement, said the project, christened Damac Towers by Paramount, is being developed in collaboration with Paramount Hotel & Resorts, the official licensee of Paramount.

The four tower project, with each tower rising over 250 metres, will comprise 540 room Paramount Hotel & Residences and over 1,400 serviced apartments in Damac Maison.

The announcement follows the developer’s launch of the two towers in Dubai and Riyadh last month which are being built in partnership with Italy’s Fendi Group. The new project, which is currently under construction, will be completed by end of 2015, according to the developer.

Dubai's $ 1 billion project by DAMAC Properties & Paramount Hotels and Resorts for Paramount Studios

Berlin, Germany, 6th:
March 2013: From ‘’The Godfather’’, ‘’Breakfast at Tiffany’s’’ and ‘’Titanic’’, Paramount Pictures has become synonymous with entertainment and above all creativity, and today the brand stands for more – adventure and escape. Now, in its 101st year, the global launch of ‘DAMAC Towers by Paramount’ in Dubaimarks the company’s first venture into the hotel and real estate industry.

In an exclusive partnership with DAMAC Properties, the leading luxury private developer in the Middle East, and Paramount Hotel & Resorts (PHR-FZ-LLC), the official licensee of Paramount, ‘DAMAC Towers by Paramount’, will comprise a 540 key Paramount Hotel & Residences and more than 1,400 units of DAMAC Maison – Paramount co-branded serviced hotel residences located in the heart of the downtown Burj Khalifa area in Dubai, a new tourism hotspot.

The US$ 1 billion ‘DAMAC Towers by Paramount’ is currently under construction, and once completed by the end of 2015, will provide enviable views of the world tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa and provide easy access to one of the world’s largest shopping malls, The Dubai Mall. This area welcomed more than 65 million visitors in 2012, an increase of over 20 percent compared to 2011. The number is more than the amount of annual tourists to New York City (52 million).
