Time is up....
Trivia answer was Dick Westmoreland...a cornerback who had 10 interceptions in 1967, setting a franchise record that still stands today.... I am trying to make questions that aren't too easy, or too hard....and I am thinking of a good one now...

Point to spellbound for correct answer of Mike Bass #41...
This question came to me on Monday night when I saw a Redskin wearing #41.....I thought wow....they gave someone else Mike Bass' jersey......sacred number because it must be the most replayed replay in Washington Redskin history.... ....which led me to wonder....what is the most replayed highlight in MIAMI DOLPHIN history..... My guess would be.... 1. Riggins bounces of of tacklers (looking at you Don McNeal) to score TD vs Miami in SB 2. Nat Moore helicopter play 3. Tony Nathan's hook and lateral play vs SD in playoff game of 1982 No need debating the U of M most played replay...has to be Flutie....but 2nd place might got to Glenn Sharpe's PI that cost the U a NC..... I digress... WTG spell for another point... And btw.....Alex Trebek accepts last names...but if you say the first name....it has to be correct. MIKE Bass...!!!! But I will accept Mike, the dick Woods!!! Dick Bass was just anothe dick....!!! |

I'll take a wild stab at that one and say Rory Sparrow. Probably wrong. (I WANT to say Alan Ogg, but don't think he was even on the original squad)
Most replayed Dolphin highlight and/or lowlight? That's a good one. A.J. Duhe's interception return versus the Jets in the AFC Championship has to be up there somewhere. I was there--what unbridled, messy joy that was on that rainy day in the Orange Bowl. Pandemonium. On the bad side, that miracle touchdown the Raiders scored in the 74 playoffs to end Miami's reign gets replayed a lot. At least I don't cry anymore seeing it (even if I still cringe at the 'what ifs') |

Every time I watch the Dolphins play....Brandon Fields does something to impress me. I am ready to call him the best punter in MD history...so step aside Reggie Roby!

But agreed Fields is real good. I had ZERO problem with him yelling at that nitwit that stepped into the endzone on that one kick, even though Dierdorf was bitching about it. Overall, totally expected result today. The Niners are excellent and it would have taken a damn near perfect effort to pull an upset there. Man, do we need some speed at receiver. Never more glaring than today. A defense as good as San Francisco's can just feast on the pass rush and tight coverage without that threat. Offseason priority #1. |

I was ok with them taking off days on the road, but this losing at home stuff is for the birds. I'm giving them until Christmas for the hangover to wear off. After that I'll start to get worried. Especially if the lose to the knicks again.
