Sorry I didn't post source. But you are right both figures seem wrong.

The figures have to be wrong.

The AADT means Annual average daily traffic. An AADT of 100 000 is about the maximum of what a 2x2 road can support (the bridge is 2x2), but the adjoining infrastructure (the roads that go from center-Bulgaria to Vidin and from center-Romania to Calafat) is just 1x2 and can't support such a traffic.

As Chris stated, 100 000 vehicles per year is just 274 vehicles per day. A secondary county road has more traffic that this.

I believe that it's just incompetent journalists that we see very often in the last years...
