some good news... hadlow castle tower is being restored. the bad news, the rest of it was demolished.
![]() the beached u boat at hastings... hastings even laid on tours of the inside of the u boat for tourists but unfortunately the batteries started to leak poisonous gas and they had to close it. i suspect it would still be there otherwise.

When you showed the first colour picture I thought it was still there and let out a sigh of relief. Then you dropped THAT on us.

Dudley Hippodrome (Theatre) (And the Plaza cinema)
Before: ![]() Birmingham Mail Then: image hosted on flickr ![]() Ian Grundy After: image hosted on flickr ![]() Ell R Brown Will be demolished soon if the museum and the council have their way, which is ironic, considering what the Black Country Museum is all about. Yes, in it's current form, it is an eyesore. But it is an eyesore because it is in this state... do it up and it won't be.

Whilst it would be good to see a new use found, the loss of the former Hippodrome won't be particularly galling as there is a far better building of the period preserved in much better condition on the opposite site of the road.

It was being towed after capture I believe, they lost control of it and it ended up on Hastings Beach.

My goodness.....I though Belfast had lost a lot of buildings, thanks to the Blitz, bad planning and the IRA. Then I see what was demolished in Glasgow, absolutely shocking!! I actually can't get over how much of Glasgow's architecture was destroyed.

The bridge is a full of the beauty of life. These photos make me nostalgic for the small village. I was born that is typical of the 18th century building.
