Casablanca Voyageurs TGV Station, 3rd prize, by Richez

By sofiane

La nouvelle gare TGV Casa-Voyageurs Casablanca

Concours ouvert avril 2012 - 3ème prix
Lieu : Casablanca / Maroc

The old part of the station will be preserve. I think that it's an historical monument.

Me too, but the first one incorporates the old station in it.

How are the constuction works going? Still on schedule for opening in 2015?

Geographically Morocco is quite well suited for HSR. A single long line (Oujda-Fes-Meknes-Rabat-Casablanca-Marrakech-Agadir) plus one shorter one (Tangier-Kenitra-Casablanca) would cover the 10 largest cities in the country and probably majority of the population (in the future if not now) in almost a straight line.

The first line (Tangier-Casablanca) is planned for 2016
