~25,000-30,000, between residents in Japan and tourists from Brazil, USA, Australia etc. Could be more, but FIFA didn't reserved more tickets for Corinthians fans. The correct attendance was 31,417.

Timão played bad in 2nd half, I've suffered too much! We can (and need) to play much better next sunday.

Depending on where in Europe, could cost less than 1000 dollars an air ticket to Brazil, if bought in a few months in advance...

It depends on the period of the year, type of hotel, which city in Brazil and so on... I would guess from europe would be from around 2000-3000 dollares.

my bad.

But I guess many of the Corinthians fans already live in Japan. It is estimated Japan has the third largest Brazilian diaspora. More than 100,000 Brazilians live in Japan, and mostly from Sao Paulo. So, there is already a large Corinthians fan base in Japan.

Yes, statistics shows that 40% of the brazilians living in Japan are Corinthians fans.

From Brazil, the Japanese embassy conceded in the last two months around 10k visas, most of them for Corinthians supporters.

Many other fans from around the world also went to Japan. That´s how the midia concluded that around 25 to 30k corinthians fans went to japan, already considered the biggest diaspora of a team supporters to a FIFA WCC

On y va ?'

Corinthian invasion, chapter two

(FIFA.com) Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Yesterday, unexpectedly, the highway was congested. But this was not a period of holiday departures. It was an ordinary weekend. In Rio de Janeiro, almost everyone was dressed in black and white. Here is the explanation: December 5, 1976, some 70,000 fans at Maracana Corinthians went to share the stands with supporters of Fluminense, after a journey of more than 400 kilometers from Sao Paulo. Policy of fuel rationing and the promise of a live broadcast of the match did not deter travelers. We then spoke of a real "invasion Corinthian." The episode remains to this day one of the most significant chapters in the history of Brazilian football.

This Wednesday, December 12, 36 years and six days later the restrictions were more severe, starting with the distance. This has not prevented thousands of fans of Corinthians to go to Toyota Stadium to try to help their team win a victory against Al Ahly in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2012 .

"This is the best audience in the world. He has no equal. I defined as: any team supporters, but our fans are a team," said Alex de Andrade, a fan of Corinthians, the microphone FIFA.com. The Paulist 33 years and his friends had already booked their holidays for next summer in Cancun and Canada. But the night of the Corinthians win the Copa Libertadores, they messed up their plans. "I canceled everything. Corinthians I prefer."

Such dedication is obviously not going unnoticed by the players on the field. "It's wonderful. I had heard but feel it and see it with your own eyes, it has no price. It's amazing what they are willing to do for the team. C is madness. I'm sure for the final stage will be packed, "said defender Paulo André.

Air lift

The number of fans Corinthian and the atmosphere they put Toyota impressed
, but as shows Paulo André, one could expect. The euphoria that marked the departure of the delegation to Japan had already given an idea of the enthusiasm of an audience like no other. In addition, the fever surrounding today Corinthians is not unprecedented.

When the hordes of supporters alvinegros stormed the Maracanã in 1976, it was already a semi-final, in this case against Fluminense in the Brazilian Championship. Torrential rain, both teams had 1-1 draw, but Corinthians had won on penalties. In the final, Timão, who had not won any title for 22 years, had an appointment with Internacional. The game turn benefit the formation of Porto Alegre. It was not until the following year that will renew Corinthians finally with laurels, winning the Paulistão.

The legendary writer Nelson Rodrigues summed up in the pages of the newspaper O Globo, which happened in Rio: "The meeting began yesterday, when supporters invaded the city. Throughout the morning, fanatics Timão partied at Leme, Copacabana, Leblon, Ipanema. It was a deluge of Corinthian fans. A tourist even wrote in his notebook that Rio was a busy city. "

This has been happening for a few days in Japan is very similar. "There are more people than I ever imagined. Much more. Ago Corinthians supporters absolutely everywhere," noted Alex.

90 minutes, this is not

Some fans were there even before the landing of players. In the residential complex of Homi Danchi, about a quarter of an hour on the stage of Toyota, there is a large colony of Brazil, which has been preparing for months, with growing impatience, to welcome fellow came home country.

Most come from afar, such as brothers and Murilo Fernandes Mateus, 21 and 19 years. They are from São Paulo, Santa Catarina but studying. They undertook the trip to Japan in the most important period of the school year. "It's exam week at our university. We'll have everything go at catching up in February," said Mateus. One thing is certain: no admonition is to be feared on the side of their father to skip this week. Francisco is the dad, who decided to make the trip with his two son.

"We'll be champions. We decided there are two or three weeks. Since the final of the Libertadores, I thought. I was scared and there was the question of price. But one morning I had as a illumination and I started: 'You know what we go?' (Laughs) We had planned to go to Las Vegas, but eventually we came here, "he says.

Now it is the turn of Yokohama opened its doors to this "band of fools," as they define themselves. It is indeed in this city will take place Sunday, December 16 final of the FIFA Club World Cup. The phenomenon had already occurred during the final of the inaugural tournament in 2000 in Rio de Janeiro, against Vasco. On this occasion, the fans of Corinthians were the number of 30,000, for a total attendance of 73,000 spectators. The visitors were then imposed penalties.

This year, the goal is to win the title in regulation time. But if we wait a little longer, whatever ... when it was a long journey. Anyway, the pilgrimage of Corinthian fans never stops.
