one of my family members came from iran
he brought many newspapers
sadly, alot of tthe articles had to do with the mass imoort of cheap unsafe drugs from china
from anaesthetics that put u to sleep for ever to simple drugs that caused strokes

firstly, khak bar sare chin ke in hame ashghalo misaze, ye keshvare saboke gande moft , khak bar sare un bazarganaye irani ke inaro miaran and khak bar sare in dolate avazi

and then they make all these stupid news "iran makes most of its own drugs " and such bs

In theory they're not part of the sanctions but in effect everything is sanctioned.

I mean in general before sanctions, because Iranaian government I think doesn't allow stuff made by "white" people if so an educated Iranian can make a lot of mullah importing drugs.

As far as I know, till 2010 at least, Coca Cola was being imported to the country legally (Coca Cola had a contract with an Iranian bottling company). However with the sanctions on the banking sector I think that was the end of that. I'm just assuming though. But I don't see how the Iranian bottling company could recieve payments (and vice-versa). Plus the sanctions on industry as a whole also got tighter since then.

Under the American sanctions, medicine and food from American companies are permitted to be exported to Iran. It's just that the companies are finding it difficult to import to Iran now due to the banking sanctions. Technically, they can get wavers from the American government to import medicine, but the banks are too scared to help them.

I m really sorry about your father. You can easily get your much needed antibiotics from Pakistan & Kuwait because there is lot of smuggling going on the border between Pakistan , Iran & lots of visitors are going from Kuwait or Pakistan to Iran.
