And so I will repost

So I was checking on the updates on the Pampanga Coastal Highway, pero wala pa masyadong balita. Last update was last Sept.

In case matapos ito, how will it affect traffic flow in JASA and McArthur-South Pampanga

Quote:
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Regional Development Council in Central Luzon (RDC-3) is urging the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to start working on an elevated Manila Bay-Cavite-Bataan Coastal Highway to help boost economic activity especially in areas hardest hit natural calamities.

“The highway would enhance movement of goods in Central Luzon, Metro Manila and CALABARZON thus strengthening trade relations among the richest regions of the Philippines,” the RDC said in a statement released following last weeks meeting.

Perhaps less vehicles will be taking JASA? Most especially trucks I guess. The last time I passed on JASA from Bataan, there were lots of trucks and eventually I saw some entering the NLEX from San Fernando. With the coastal road, these trucks could also clear up JASA (if they will be allowed on the Coastal Road) or cars can also clear up JASA a bit. Traffic in Lubao is bad sometimes but there is the Lubao Bypass Road which also helps decongest a bit.

I'm cautious of the impact it will have on San Fernando, because a lot of the southern towns traverse through San Fernando (McArthur/JASA) to do their stuff (kaya ang LAPAD ng JASA).

Like if cars want to go to Bataan/Olongapo from Manila, they pass through JASA in San Fernando, right? With this coastal road, they don't need to. Or kung mag-NLEX man, probably they will take the San Simon exit to access this coastal road.

How about you, do you think the coastal road will affect San Fernando's business as the "regional" center?

And I forgot to mention, people from the South won't have to pass through San Fernando when going to Northern Bulacan and Nueva Ecija. So bawas na naman sa significance ng San Fernando as crossroads ng Region 3.

See how it connects to Maharlika Hiway

And! It seems na sa dulo ng SCTex, you can access Lubao and other southern towns. Di ba?

ang kulang na lang niyan sa Pampanga Bay ay PORT para sa mga ships at yachts kagaya ng Manila Bay.

I guess the dangerous part about Pampanga Bay is its where the Great Pampanga River empties. Super wild siguro ng water kapag tag-ulan.

last time I went to Pampanga Bay, it was full of dead mangroves

It's a tent connected to the main building which serves as a temporary expansion of the check-in area I guess. Last time I flew from Clark, those LED signs said Puerto Princesca.

Sadly, the Puerto Princesa flights are only seasonal. A few months ago, kinansel ang mga Puerto flights. Baka ibalik ulit sa summer.

Is that a reason why you have this bazaar thing ongoing at DBA? I have a nephew who goes to that school as well.

I think its previous name is "aldo ning kapampangan" which means kapampangan day, but if they retained that, not only angeles will be included in its holiday....southern tarlac and some portions of bataan and nueva ecija as well

This is true. Sinukwan Festival though is less limited. In the street dance, I think they had representatives from Tarlac City. In the past year, Capas participated.

Of the two (Aldo ning Kapampangan and Sinukwan Festival), Sinukwan Festival ought to be the more encompassing festival because it celebrates the Kapampangan culture regardless of province, while Aldo ning Kapampangan is a project of the Provincial Government. That is the disadvantage of Sinukwan. Kahit na it encompasses all Kapampangans regardless of province, it is handled by a foundation, na nagsa-struggle sa funding, unlike Aldo ning Kapampangan which is government-backed.

Notice though that even though Angeles is an HUC, there is always an Angeles representative in Mutya ning Kapampangan.

Kung gagawing ALDO NING PAMPANGA, should it then be MUTYA NING PAMPANGA?
