Looks excellent! Can't believe it's taken so long for such a, in comparison, simple yet beautiful restauration.

Good job!

Proper conservation of original elements takes longer I suppose. These are the original gates from the late 1600's/early 1700's that were restored, even conserving bullet holes from the last war, only a few pieces of stone had to be replaced.

no, stylistically linked to socialist-realist version of exterior. courtyard is a new creation by a scenery designer, but it all works nicely expressing the diversity that is Warsaw today.

I agree. I think it's a nice mix of old and new!

While it is definitely sad to see how much Warsaw has lost over the years, it is reassuring and pleasing to witness its reconstruction and subsequent rebirth!

Such a beautiful restoration. It looks like a cake.
When are they doing the next one?

The kamienice (townhouses) on the north side will be next. Restoration work is to commence on the second one from the corner next year and the corner building has been put up for sale. Also in the new year we should have a new government policy on the return of property in Warsaw nationalized by the communist occupational regime which will finally clarify their status and promote restoration/repair etc.
