That's because most of the world (especially the west) LOVES to see their romanticist ''slumdog millionaire'' view of India. Indians are very slow to realise that while Indians would gladly let Westerners walk over them so as to not get their shoes dirty, westerners think very little of Indians.

Put it this way, in my own opinion (and nothing else), Indians view the world as they would like it to be, not how it really is. It's cruel out there, especially for Indians.

I have been the butt of a lot of racism.

It's always, hehe ... poor Indians, dirty Indians, stinky and stupid Indians.

The only 'west' that matters is the US, and the rest all fall in line. I am happy to note that in the past 10 yrs., India's image has done a remarkable turn-around. Young westerner's are curios, not biased and open minded, India for them is the IT country, tech. India, Bollywood India, exciting developing India ... it's the old timers who are .

Shows empty plot, or almost invisible structure on new, updated google map. Unless it's a round mid-rise building and badly labeled on the map.

Do it yourself, why not and share?

First of all the google maps are not fully updated. They are updated only on the lower half of the town side and not the suburbs.

Secondly, I dont stay in Mumbai and as a matter of fact i have never been a mumbaikar so i obviously cannot track the updates on ground.

I Live close by pheonix market city
the mall is complete and open
The mall is easily among the best in the city if not the best.

Marked in red is a under construction building for commercial use which will house small offices .
Marked in blue is available area for new construction which i guess they would use for the planned 5-star business hotel with around 150 rooms.

guys, there is a new tower coming up at bottom of kemps croner, opposite the church and just at the start of nepeansea road => Can someone tell me which project is it?

And any news on the project at Huges Road by Rohan Landscapes (proposed partnership with Trumph)? It seems that project is abandoned in light of the crisis/ financial crunch of Rohan landscapes? Are they intending to sell this project like their other projects ?

Lodha buys Washington house

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/c...w/17577670.cms

MUMBAI: Leading realty company Lodha Developer has finally acquired Washington House, the three-storey residential building owned by the US consulate on Altamont Road, for Rs 341.82 crore. Lodha beat three rival developers including Mahindra Lifespaces and Tata Housing whose bids ranged around Rs 300 crore, which was far below the reserve price of Rs 350 crore fixed by the consulate.

Dubbed as the billionaires' lane, Altamont Road is among the 10 costliest addressess in the world and is home to some of the richest Indians, including Mukesh Ambani and several Bollywood stars.

Property experts say Lodha's bid, although below the reserve price of Rs 350 crore, is in tune with current sluggish market conditions. "Though the property is located in an upmarket locality, the economic market is not in tune with the ground conditions. The consulate must have therefore, thought it prudent to accept the best price,'' said an expert.

The three-storeyed Washington House covers 2,702 square metres, or nearly three-fourth of an acre. It is listed as Grade III property and falls under the Coastal Regulation Zone II. The plot has a road reservation of about 293 sq mt.

Early on Tuesday afternoon, Abhishek Lodha, managing director of Lodha Group, sealed the agreement by handing over the full and final payment of Rs 300 crore to the consulate. The developer had earlier paid Rs 40 crore.

The sale agreement was then signed and registered at the Old Custom House, Fort, in the presence of Lodha and Paul C Cox, a senior official and the authorized signatory from the US embassy. Lodha reportedly paid a stamp duty of about Rs 17 crore to get the property transferred in his name. Under the rules, the ministry of external affairs had on May 3 approved the consulate's request to sell the property to Lodha.

With a developable space of almost 1.2 lakh sq ft—including unconsumed FSI—Lodha is all set to construct a super-luxury residential tower of 30 floors. Confirming the sale, Abhishek Lodha said the deal was in line with the company's growth strategy. "We have already appointed well-known Iran-born German architect Hadi Teherani to design the building.

Considering its location —on top of Altamont Road and offering an unparalled view of the Arabian Sea—we are planning to house exclusive apartments of 3,000-4,000 sq ft per floor,'' said Lodha, who is set to launch the project as early as March 2013. Property rates in the immediate vicinity currently range over Rs 70,000 a sq ft.

Luxpresso (a blog) has hosted a render that it claims is an artist's impression -

- The blog post doesn't cite where they fished it out from, but that logo on the bottom seems to confirm that this is the design.

Quote:
The new building - described in a Lodha release as a 'bold black tinted glass tower', will come up on Mumbai's 'Billionaire Mile'; Mukesh Ambani's Antilla and Kumarmangalam Birla's palatial mansion are also located here. Apartments will be as big as 3,000sqft -4,000 sqft - with three, four and five bedrooms - and thanks to the dark tinted glass used, will be able to limit heat gain.

With one flat per floor, each will come with a private pool, an elevator lobbies for each apartment and 5-level advanced security.
30, as stated in the article Akbar posted is probably just the number of habitable floors. Overall, the tower will have more floors 'cause of the parking garage. The site is located right next to Antilia (view on google maps):

from the renders it looks like a 40fl building but that black tinted glass would be a huge hit i guess it would surely make its mark in the skyline

I don't that will be the official design as this article says it "will be designed" -

Quote:
The tower set to be launched as early as March 2013 will be designed by Iranian born German architect, Hadi Teherani, whose projects extend from designing cufflinks for Mont Blanc to modular kitchens for Poggenpohl to high rise buildings to university campuses.

Amazing render. I would love to see this one materialize. I just hope it's taller than 40 flrs. should be atleast 60 floors. But ofcourse, FSI may not be available.

I believer Lodha will also try and acquire the neighboring societies. I would make the project "Grand".

Almost 50+ 50 floor towers are upcoming and less than 10 completed.
Thanks for the comprehensive list, 101.
