MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines in general, and the Philippine car racing scene in particular, makes history as it hosts the first-ever Euro Racecar NASCAR championship in Asia in Clark Field, Pampanga in November 2013.

Euro Racecar NASCAR chief executive officer Jerome Galpin and Philippine Formula Autosports Foundation Inc. president Tom Pastor formally signed the agreement today, bringing to the country the best stock car drivers in the world in a momentous event late next year.

Big names in Philippine autosports witnessed the contract-signing ceremony held at the Manila Golf Club in Makati.

“We’re very excited to bring such a huge sporting franchise like a full-fledged Euro Racecar NASCAR race to the Philippines. Every time a Euro Racecar NASCAR race occurs, fans turn these events into virtual parties and we can’t wait to bring that energy to Manila in November 2013,” said Galpin.

MANILA, Philippines - Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL), a joint venture between taipan Lucio Tan and diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMC), is set to mount flights to Turkey, Kuwait, and Cambodia next year amid its ambitious refleeting program.

In separate petitions filed before the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), PAL sought the green light from the government regulator to fly to Istanbul, Turkey; State of Kuwait; and Phnom Penh, Cambodia next year.

Hindi naman. Nung nakapagstay ako dun, ang daming mga Japanese and Koreans. Ang narinig ko hindi na raw sila nagrenew sa mayari ng property dahil hindi raw nameet talaga ang standards ng worldwide hilton hotels and resorts. sa bagay, kung titignan mo sa lahat ng mga hilton resorts sa buong mundo, ang hilton mactan lang ang pinakamaliit sa lahat at limitado lang ang mga amenities and facilities nila unlike sa iba na may golf courses, spa complexes, etc.

Di kasi talaga maganda ang mactan hilton dati kumpara sa shangrila. Parang 3 star resort lang kasi ang mactan hilton, kaawa awa tignan. Pero nung huli akong nagpunta sa cebu ang imperial resort na ang pinaka maraming bisita, ang shangrila parang wala ng tao.
