They may need office space, but they don't need to build a skyscraper.

The one suggest here is bigger then its tower in NZ, almost as big as its Melbourne HeadQuater in Australia.

They don't need a skyscraper to house their office demand, the advantage of building a skyscraper is they can generate extra incomes by leasing their office spaces and condominium units out.

This proposed tower is not belong to anz but royal group own by Kith Meng. Anz may just use 10 floors max for their office and put their big logo on the top.

The truth is, 5 - 8 floors of office spaces should be enough to serve as the ANZ headquarter, not to mentioned their current headquarter opposite Canadia Tower (5 floors building) is not even fully occupied.

Canadia Bank (the second largest bank in Cambodia in terms of capitalization) only takes up 5 floors out of the total 25 floors in their Canadia Tower.

Yes, Royal Group is the shareholder of ANZ, and Royal Group also own other properties around Phnom Penh (one at Monivong Boulevard for example) to serve as their headquarter

looking back at the past post, this is a residential tower (or perhaps mix use).

The Royal Tower is a 40 storey mixed use project proposed for a prime site at the corner of Monivong and Russian Federation Boulevards in one of Asia’s new emerging cities, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Royal Tower will be a significant landmark project with city and Mekong River views, containing 22 floors of office, 9 floors of serviced apartments, 2 penthouse levels, 2 levels of retail, a club level with landscaped pool deck, 4 parking levels for 270 cars and a single basement. The car park will be used by tenants and to the public as well. This will be the best working and living location for international corporations looking to have a presence in Cambodia.
