passed by a signboard at one of the stations yesterday that showed a completion date March 2014 ... will check if it is still there today and might can take a pic ... but the station looked very nice on the rendering

Someone told me that the tram in the tallest block section is going to run underground. Anyone else heard this? It seems like a strange idea to me.

No chance. Last I read, it was going to be elevated in sections in that area (The Torch, for example).

They started with the roof of the Marina Mall station. The other two stations at the Sheikh Zayed Road are still at the basement.

They started working on the 2 bridges over the Marina. They are reducing the sidewalks to move the car lanes away from the center to eventually lay the tracks there.
