And still counting ? er i thought the petition was handed in and that was that? Maybe yourself, giving us an update as to ,if and when it made any difference ..or you met with some big wigs in Dubai, who would fight the cause here in DSC ,with so many people let down by developers .. i include DSC in that as well! Maybe the recent visit of the shieks to DSc was as a result of your efforts ,who knows, certainly you seem too modest to say ! DSC has just completed the indoor soccer academy building the Golf club building as well Gallery villas are to be handed over shortly and the first stage of Canal residence west ,also more victory heights villas as well ..so there is plenty of things going on ...also the ring road leading into DSC has been getting more completed recently.. Towers can you give us an update re Oasis 1 and 2 ..clearly from our last update we saw progress on oasis 1 ...Oasis 2 have the developers paid for the land in full or..?

Ive thought all along that protest like these will have an impact ...
Words on here and thru the press go only so far. the irish scare the sh-t out of me ..wonder what the Dubai people think...nothing phazes the Dubai developers into whats right or wrong .. And justice is an imove-able object ...if you are, european!

I think it's been said before, DSC has lots going for it (potentially) in terms of sporting venues, and as a result investors in DSC are in a much better place than much of the rest of 'New Dubai': but the problem / issue is related to the total lack of control by the govt. You DSC guys are lucky!
Think about us poor souls who invested in other areas of new Dubai. JVS: We don't have sporting venues that might not but at least may attract future end users in terms of tenants or owners like you guys, but we do have lots of unregulated developers holding on to investor's money and lots of scalding hot desert! As you guys are one of the success stories of new Dubai, comparatively speaking of course, can you guys at DSC give the rest of us pour souls who invested in the middle of the desert (eg JVS) some advice / comments as to whether there is any hope for us JVS lot?? |

I agree ,thats why we must stay positive...difficult for those in DSC ,who also are involved with similar developers to the jvs ones who just don,t build or just build skeletons to get investors stage payments and then stall.
Rera does nothing to stop this. I have witnessed many investors in Dubai marina, yet they get there or are getting there..so there all right..but do i have simpathy for jvs investors .. well DSC is my interest (and investment), JVS ,a few miles (if that ) with the same problem ,yet they could be on the other side of the world if i,m truthfull...that does not mean i don,t care ...i just don,t identify here on the SSc re jvs. Last edited by UAE Investor; December 11th, 2012 at 02:28 AM. |

we see the Irish today putting pressure on Dubai Government (hopefully)..yet they are only a couple of hundred people ...but there must be thousands of UK investors let alone European and other countries...many thousands of sub continent investors in DSc also... I think the world would be shocked as to the big hole, the Dubai Government has put so many innocent people in ,with there ponzy real estate scheme... I have reported here recently, prices are rising in Dubai despite just as much surplus stock on the market as ever before...the market is not based on supply and demand as any where else in the world..its just fixed by a few sales here and there,by whom i have no idea ,,but as soon as any increase its all over the daily papers as if they have found Jesus alive and kicking here in Dubai Been an interesting day here on SSC metlofts, hope all works out for you, and thanks for your vote of confidence re DSc that maybe some of us, did,nt mess up with our investment here in DSC! just hope you are right ? only time will tell!

I'm not so sure people who purchased in DSC are calling it some lucky dip! The place by the sea sounds more inviting..... The infrastructure promised has not eventuated in DSC, isn't the majority been placed on hold...all you have is golf and cricket....is this what lured people to this metropolis of sport or were they expecting the promise of arenas and gladiators??
