It's quite interesting to see that most of the flights to Kalibo have a stopover in Tablas, Romblon.


And this is the Domestic Passenger Traffic in the year 1965. Kalibo is 18th on the list.

tanawa nyo guys, looks like our 5J buddy is adding another frequency this holiday season. From their 5-6x Daily Flights to Manila, they changed it to 7x...lipay gid sila siguro sa passenger count mag holidays pa Bacolod...Damo gid mapuli guro sa holiday...tani ako man...

4 Airbus A320, 2 Airbus A319 and 1 ATR-72 for their last flight...

‘Direct flights from Korea in January'

Orola said the test for the nine chartered flights will be from January 10 until February 7 and is expected to bring in 1,400 to 1,500 South Korean nationals.

Modetour Network Incorporated, the travel agency that will bring the South Koreans, is now in negotiations with the Philippine Airlines, as their official carrier Orola also said.

In their letter to Bacolod City dated December 14, Modetour Network Incorporated's chief Executive Officer Ki Jeong Hong asked for the help of Mayor Evelio Leonardia and the city government to push for the installation of Customs Immigration and Quarantine at the Bacolod-Silay Airport.

Orola said the city government is willing to help the South Korean travel agency in their needs so the chartered flights will push through. He said they are also meeting with the Bureau of Immigration on the matter.

If Orola is negotiating on PAL, maybe Airphil Express could be the airline for the charters. Or PAL could realign and reposition one of its A320 (or A330) to be the aircraft.

actually, the one negotiating with PAL is the travel agency in south korea...its wholly a private initiative dockie. no political patronage, its just the market that dictates our int'l flights. wala gani guro kamaan si inday helen sini. we're on our own here.

Ahhhh...thats good...but im quite skewed on PAL...they might offer PAL Express or Airphil Express...hehheehhe...but Im keeping my hopes high ah....Incheon for January...what's next?
