The source is... http://www.knightfrank.com.au/en/research/office-space
And they include for Melbourne the CBD and Docklands, St Kilda Road and Southbank are in a different document.

That is true. But I was thinking more of the traditional sense of Australian cities being CBD and endless suburbia. It's awesome that Sydney has multiple major CBD's.

I have based my posts on facts, read the attached report from ABS again, your replies however are based on your opinion which are baseless meaningless drivel

Of course it is...thanks for pointing out the obvious. I'm not sure why this is viewed as a negative though?? Its a great place to live as is Sydney we are lucky to have such fabulous small to medium sized cities in Australia with a good lifestyle balance, great resturants, education and so forth. Lets look on the positive side of life people...

I don't understand this obsession with population size. There are many populous cities in the world which I'd rather not reflect for my hometown. Eg. Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Mumbai, etc. Then you have what I personally adore as San Fran which is tiny in comparison. If you're a town planner then I can understand the interest but sadly this debate obviously has nothing to do with planning.
A psychologist would have a field day with some on here with such intense insecurities and jealousy. It's sprung up recently with a select few and really is ruining the nature of this site.

/\/\ "outer suburban" land market.....
I see this as good news...perhaps the government will tighten up on the urban sprawl now.
