Even though they removed the jumping forms it definitely doesn't look like they are halting the construction. Can't wait to see what's going to happen here next

I expect climbing forms next to speed up construction.

Sure, the interesting bit is why they have removed them in the first place. Maybe climbing forms at upper levels will be of different type than those used in the basement? And for some strange reason (even though the rest of the work is progressing well - floors are being poured) they are not in the hurry to install new formworks. Still no preparations on the core.

btw I think you people missed the last update.

I think that it stop the works at ground levels, and then finish the mall at the right of the plot, and when the mall construction finish, then will build the tower.
It is possible, I think.

regards,

I talked to someone who works on this project. They are waiting for Lotte Cinama to catch up. Because it will attach to the main tower with a 5 level skywalk. The bilding also is very unique in that it has an outer core and an inner core. When they catch up it will all rise together with a new concrete platform. This is a unique building never been seen on SSC forum before!

An inner and an outer core is definitely something totally new!

The core took a quite long time to reach ground level, and at the moment not much is happening. Do you call that fast?
Though this is normal in that stage of construction.

Taipei 101 once the WTB is dropping down so far in the ranks. And this one will top it by 2 meters.

But that's just it - weather proofing on the rebar isn't necessary unless it's going to remain exposed for a long time, because the alkaline surroundings of cured concrete will prevent further oxidation of the steel.
