The only matches were ticket sales could possibly exceed the current capacity are the two All Ireland finals each year. It does not make commercial sense for the GAA to reduce their profits for every other event in the year in order increase profits for two matches. Out of the 28 events held in Croker this year (including matches, concerts and the Eucharistic Congress), the extra capacity would increase profits on two of them but reduce profits on the other 26.

Its not going to happen, now lets never speak of this again.
quite right my friend

Arrow A completed Croke Park

Croke Park can be built over the railway line as the Cusack was built over the canal, it is designed so that it can be built over it.

If Croke Park was completed it would have one of the best noise levels and atmospheres in the world, currently too much noise escapes and causes noise pollution outside the stadium.

If completed it would be one of the greatest stadiums in the world and put Ireland on the map for big events, concerts and matches.

Many people are worried about getting rid of Hill 16 but in reality, the hill can be kept, as the terrace can be the lower tier and the upper tier would be seated, like in the Allianz Arena for Bayern Munich.

Send me a message if you have any questions or if there's anything I can do for you. Would love to here what you think

I put together a photoshopped image of what the stadium would look like once completed:

Excellent! Unlikely to happen though for the foreseeable future.

Whoah. That looks great. Doubt its gonna happen but its always nice to dream.

I always thought Croke Park would look great if we just put a roof over the hill level with the rest of the stadium and had a MASSIVE glass wall behind the hill.
It could be done cheap and would make the place look a lot less uneven

There are also huge gaps between the Hill and the Hogan and Cusack Stands which adds to the fractured state of the stadium. It'd be great to see something being done to integrate Hill 16 directly with the other stands. I'd say it would add a few thousand to the capacity as well.
