And this link is supposed to be for learning the language through emails: http://norwegianlanguage.info/norword/index.html If you are planning on using the language, then you will probably be better of with bokmål/bokmal as that is consider the standard language most widely spoken. If you are just learning it for fun then it is probably equal and I don't think either languages is noticeable harder to learn for foreigners. |

And just for the record: The differences aren't great by any means. Most people should be able to understand nynorsk even if they are only familiar with bokmål and vice versa. The differences are just some individual words and various endings to them.
Where are you from btw and what makes you want to learn our language?

Hello! Long-time lurker here.
I'm Erlend, 21 years old from Asker, currently living in Trondheim. I've always been interested in the art of engineering, skyscrapers and big buildings in particular. At some point I decided to pursue the dream and get a degree in building physics. Currently studying on the second year (out of five) of Civil Engineering at NTNU (Bygg- og Miljøteknikk for those of you who really care about details). At the moment, I'm not really "allowed" to use this username, seeing as the title of Kyll. Ing. is reserved for graduated students (it's kind of a long story), but I plan to stay here at least until I graduate. Hope to see you around! The Norway subforum doesn't appear to be among the most active corners of the forum, but at least I'll add another voice to the choir. |

welcome! yeah, things are rather quiet here compared to a few other countries on SSC. I guess we just don't see that much development or the right kind of development to trigger the interests of more people.

Hi, I'm 18 years old and I have been reading at this forum for about 5 months, so I figured it was about time to make an account. I live in Trondheim and I'm interested in new developments all around Norway

Hmm, guess I should be proper and introduce myself also. Better late than never...
Early 30s (still!), born and raised in Groruddalen in Oslo, and moved back here after a few years abroad and in other parts of Oslo. Not particularly interested in architecture itself, but like development in general and especially how we can create good conditions for human development. Ferocious nimby when it comes to my own garden, but accept that I cannot be like that and live too central, hence the self-imposed suburbian exile

ASL: 20/M/Stavanger
Born and raised in Stavanger, student at Universitetet i Stavanger, and never lived elsewhere in Norway. Spent a year in Canada though. Can't remember how I originally found SSC, but it was probably sometime I was geeking around on the World Wide Webz. I've been an occasional lurker for some time. (Bestemte meg for å lage en brukerkonto nå i vinter etter at jeg møysommelig hadde lest gjennom og sett på alle bildene i mange "threads". Alt annet enn pensum er så utrolig interresant i eksamensperioden!) Last edited by Stafangr; January 9th, 2013 at 11:29 PM. |

Ganske kult å se to Norske prosjekter oppe på ArchDaily's, The 20 Most Visited Projects of All Time
#2. Oslo Opera House #12. Tverrfjellhytta
