I don't really expect The Aura to look like those malls in Europe, since wala naman talagang High End Mall looking dito sa Phil feeling lang, even RW who looks like a rip off of a building in Venice. and I can sure you that.

by the way, any updates?
SM already has high end design with SM Tianjin.

3 months lag only so probably since it's an aerial shot, hindi lang siguro halata yung construction progress in SM Aura. Yup the egg shape which I assume will be a dome of sorts is quite evident in the aerial shot that shows it's really going to be part of SM Aura's final look. Unless they move the construction deadline, it's just another 4 months and opening day na. WooHoo!

Unless plans have changed, the shared intermodal public transport station is suppose to be located somewhere in the SM Aura development which is why I'm posting this much awaited BGC monorail project update here in this thread. Exciting!

BCDA to lead P26B monorail project from Global City to NAIA
Malaya
http://www.malaya.com.ph/index.php/b...global-to-naia

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) will take the lead in building a monorail, estimated to cost P24 billion to P26 billion, linking Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the Makati central business district and the Ninoy Aquino international airport (NAIA).

BCD president and chief executive officer Arnel Casanova said the idea is to open access between, and ease traffic to, these areas.

Casanova said a pre-feasibility study will be undertaken by a consultant which will be named in January. But based on a concept study, the project would cost anywhere between P24 billion and P26 billion.

The study would determine the alignment as well as the stops of the monorail but most of those for right-of-way are within BCDA properties.

Casanova said the BCDA is coordinating with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the Makati City government and the Department of Transportation and Communication on the plan which would be undertaken either under the private-public partnership or through official development assistance.

He said traffic within BGC is smooth but it can only be accessed through two narrow streets, Kalayaan and McKinley.

“We want to have more transportation means to link and complement these business areas,” Casanova said.

I don't think there is any provision of an intermodal transportation hub in SM Aura. I do hope Im wrong.

It would be better to build this monorail station/hub in Market Market. They still have the parking lot to build it.

Market can add parking levels instead in the existing the car park building.

This would have looked soo good if this was built in Manila Bay, the central tower would be a consolation for the defunct PagCor tower.

Great development for Cebu.

***

SM Aura looks very good, the sexy curves and the asymmetry of the building hits the spot. Would have been better if the main entrance (fronting Market2x parking lot) have some landscape and a bit more space in it.

I dont think many High-brow store will occupy this, i agree with those who say that this will be an upper-middle class mall. And I am perfectly fine with that.

To demand for Luxury/Class A mall in a developing country is not yet feasible, when the country becomes 1st world, then development will keep up and provide that.

It will, along McKinley Parkway, but that would be the third (or probably fourth depending on the naming of floor levels) floor it will be having access to. That is in reference to the C5 entrance which is two or three floors lower than the McKinley Parkway entrance.
