tandem pick? maybe

but that automatically makes it a critical pick and the charts go down even further.

manufacturers chart tip weight for the 760 is 64 MT. 75% charts for NYC DOB. then critical pick.

Maybe they wanted to write 6-7 tons, though that would look a bit weird in that sentence

Cranes can lift things together? Won't wind destroy the weight balance and place on one of the cranes a heavier load than it can handle?

yeah thats why i said tandem pick above.

the wind is the wind. like any pick, its all in the rigging. When you do a specialty pick you usually require a lifting procedure and rigging diagram signed and sealed by a PE.

when you do a critical pick (using over 90% of a cranes chart, or tandem picks), you are supposed to have a pre lift meeting with all those involved to review the procedures.

Ahhh this is so exciting! I wonder if they'll install a piece this week!

EDIT: Yes one of the pieces weighs 67 tons, and also it's only gonna take three months to install instead of the original 6! So I guess the radome shortened the time frame
