Interesting. It doesn't look like huge difference per capita.

It's about 20% higher. What's interesting, though, is that I read London attracts roughly half of the UK's entire FDI, which (with a pop. of 8.5m) would mean $70,500 per capita in London.

America is 20% wealthier than the EU, and even cherry-picked areas of Europe, such as Scandinavia, are 20% poorer than cherry-picked areas of the US with a comparable area and population (eg New England).

In all my visits to the US, I've never met one of these uber wealthy Americans who supposedly own most of the country. Most of the people I've met are middle class, and they're considerably richer than their European peers. They have bigger/better houses on average, and a lot more spending power.Crime is a cherry-picked statistic to further your delusional agenda. If we look at unemployment, which is just as bad a social problem, the US comes out far better than Europe. But a huge swathe of the urban populations in Scandinavian cities live in depressing grey public housing blocks.Of course spending power matters. And GDP at PPP actually understates Britain's spending power, which I believe tops the EU rankings.

And the rest of your post bangs on ad naseum with cherry picked surveys and statistics. You boast of Finland's education, for instance, but where are Finnish universities in the global rankings compared to Britain's or America's? Nowhere!!

And if Finland's so great, then why do so few people want to live there compared to the US or Britain? People vote with their feet. Give the world a choice between living in the US or Finland, and I'd bet 99% would choose the US (including me). Why? London/SE England is far wealthier than Finland.
Get help.
