Yeah, Argentina is the appropriate alternative. Good luck!

Middle tier is almost done (Need to do the corners) and currently holds about 10k. Middle tier is entirely VIP seats. So far there are about 75 boxes with 16 seats in front of each one.

With a proportionate top tier capacity will be close to 100,000 I reckon. I will make it smaller, it will look stupid but 100k is just too big.
Or maybe I could do it for Barca? I still think Argentina could fill a big stadium though.

Haha :p

I will change the seat colour, I was thinking to white with some light blue in somehow?

I was also thinking of names as this may infuence the seat colours...
How about:
  • Estadio de Blanco (Stadium of White, sounds crap in english but cool in spanish, I could make the stadium very white)
  • Estadio Cielo Azul (Stadium sky blue)
  • Estadio de fuego (Stadium of fire, sounds awesome but would require red orange and yellow seats which don't really suit Argentina. might save it for another time)
  • Estadio del sur (Stadium of the South, again bad in english but ok in spanish)
Any ideas?

Edit: What about a gold and dark blue seat pattern, like the middle of their logo?

Hmmm... I quite like that, but it reminds me of the stadium of light and there are already 2 of them.

Would I put the sun on the seats or something?

The highest stadium I know is DKR and it has 65m!!!

The biggest one I've ever made is "Statoil Stadium", the highest seats are 68m above the field level.

Hi everyone! This is my first post and my first stadium here.

It's for the Polonia Warszawa which plays their home games right at the heart of capital of Poland - at Konwiktorska 6 in Warsaw (stadium and the area in real world looks like that: http://maps.google.pl/maps?q=konwikt...eckie&t=h&z=18).

Capacity of the stadium is 26.500 (lower tier: 19.500, upper tier: 7.000).

Multipurpose indoor arena and three office buildings were also designed to accompany the stadium.

I know there are some imperfections but it's only my second stadium. I was learning Sketchup while building the stadium. Next one will be better .

Pitch, benches and trees were taken from the Sketchup Warehouse.

Hope you like it!

Your 2nd stadium and you already do complex geometry like that roof. Well done.
You just need to make/download a better pitch cause that one looks out of scale.

Sad to know that. I always have a original folder with 2 files of a project ex: file1 and file2. Start working on file1 then save it as file2, keep working, then save again but this time as file1 and so on. At the end of the day I save a backup of the original folder in a backup partition of my HD and another backup on a pen.

The pure white in the first render looks better then the yellow and black combination you used. Experiment with panels, colours etc.

:: Add some structure to the roof

It will make the project look more realistic and possible.

:: Work on the surroundings a bit more

:: How did you in cooperate the historical façade of the current Polonia stadium?

Yes, I should have done it. I've an older version of the project, but there's so much less than the one I've lost.

Very nice I find it amazing how quickly one can get fantastic results like that with Sketcup and a Renderer ... thums up!

@LeedsRule: That's funny, I was starting a new Argentina national stadium just a week ago

Capacity will be close to 100.000. It's still very very raw ... but it could curves and a calculated C-Value of 9cm for all seats

Will keep everybody up to date ...

Hey. I just found this old model of a stadium. I never finished it. Here are some pictures about how it is right now. I'll advance and post new pictures later.

I was thinking about how to incorporate old facade to the new stadium. I've even done it in SketchUp to make a try.

But I didn't think it was worth to keep it as it is.

I would suggest to keep only the columns but make it from the different material such as glass or to make a modern sculpture of it, make it more symbolic just to remind us of the old facade.

The middle tier is finished, it has 132 boxes with 16 seats outside totaling 2112 box seats. 11,108 other seats on that tier, all are VIP seats but mostly would be sold to the public (At a ridiculous price I would expect). Sorry, seats are still green :p Top tier to do next, im not going to worry about capacity now even if it ends up 120k in capacity, Every row of regular seats I add will increse the capacity by over 2000 I expect and I dont want to do a tiny top tier, plus Im sure if any country could fill a 100k stadium it would be Argentina.

Middle Tier Seats: 13220
Lower Tier Seats: 49124

Current total is 62344.

The only reason I did it that 1 time in the corners was because I had it the other way (Streight up) and there was something like 50 seats in a row at the top, so I thought of doing it this way, but it is not neccacary to do it all the way around.
