Yeah, Dicks a Mile High would be pretty awkward.

As far as the name goes, it's pretty pointless, everyone just calls it Mile High anyways.

Here is a photo I took at the Broncos game on Saturday. It was the 4th quarter of a meaningless pre-season game, hence the empty seats. Note the "Invesco Field" sign still on the south stand scoreboard. My apologies for the quality, my cell phone was all that I had on me.

Here are some photos from the pre-season game against the Seahawks on 8/18 and the free scrimmage from 8/4.

I can't seem to find it for the new stadium. In the old one it was 8k. This one looks like it is at least 12k

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet...the old stadium was completely made of steel. The structure, the floors, everything but the seats. That made it shake A LOT. Of course this made the fans stomp and jump as mich as possible. People thought it was going to collapse anytime.

When they built the new one, Pat Bowlen, the owner of the Broncos, wanted to keep that noise, as it was nicknamed Rocky Mountain Thunder. Thus, the flooring of the stand areas are mostly steel. If you watch a game and the defense is playing the TV camera will shake. It's not quite the same as the old one, but the first time you experience it you're terrified. It feels like a mild earthquake. The upper tier is now named Thunder, CO like its own town.

Any idea what the capacity would be if it was a complete bowl?

I'd guess an additional 6,000 or so.

Looks like they're getting bigger video boards next year:

Quote:
The largest video board behind the South Stands will be high definition LED (light emitting diode) and three times larger to 8,800 square feet.

The video boards in the northeast and northwest sections will be 60 percent larger, and the "ribbon" boards that run along the third-level fašade will also be replaced.

Heh. Great infographic. It isn't so much Jerryworld Syndrome as it is LED screens are getting cheaper and cheaper every year. Pretty soon 75" LED TV's for the home will be under $2000.

Yeah, but even multi-purpose arenas are getting them, like Houston and Indianapolis.
