As far as the name goes, it's pretty pointless, everyone just calls it Mile High anyways.

Here is a photo I took at the Broncos game on Saturday. It was the 4th quarter of a meaningless pre-season game, hence the empty seats. Note the "Invesco Field" sign still on the south stand scoreboard. My apologies for the quality, my cell phone was all that I had on me.

I can't seem to find it for the new stadium. In the old one it was 8k. This one looks like it is at least 12k

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet...the old stadium was completely made of steel. The structure, the floors, everything but the seats. That made it shake A LOT. Of course this made the fans stomp and jump as mich as possible. People thought it was going to collapse anytime.

When they built the new one, Pat Bowlen, the owner of the Broncos, wanted to keep that noise, as it was nicknamed Rocky Mountain Thunder. Thus, the flooring of the stand areas are mostly steel. If you watch a game and the defense is playing the TV camera will shake. It's not quite the same as the old one, but the first time you experience it you're terrified. It feels like a mild earthquake. The upper tier is now named Thunder, CO like its own town.

Heh. Great infographic. It isn't so much Jerryworld Syndrome as it is LED screens are getting cheaper and cheaper every year. Pretty soon 75" LED TV's for the home will be under $2000.

Yeah, but even multi-purpose arenas are getting them, like Houston and Indianapolis.
