1. Any news about Balaji theatre frnds.. I think its under renovation and to be opened soon.... Exterior looks really awesome..
2. Volkswagen dealership opening soon work under progress very fast.
3. Chevrolet dealership opened in bypass road near collectorate.
4. Six laning along chn - blr NH is going in full swing.

Anybody know wats coming up opp to sayar bajaj new busstand.. some big construction is going on.....???

CMC kagithapattarai campus doctors quarters work is going on in full swing.. one can see huge buildings passing through bypass road... Really big ones..

More gud news frnds CMC is going to develop its kannigapuram site(10 kms frm town campus apprx.) near ratnagiri as its hospital extention campus. CMC is having some 70 odd acres there i believe.. CMC mgmt is interested and very keen in developing this site rather than developing CTR campus..

I read in a daily that a new textile showroom construction has been started in Katpadi road (near Josalukkas). But I couldn't find the name of it.

Does anyone have any idea on this?

Hi vickyv its construction of pachaiyappas silks and i think they are planning for a huge building
And also the site at old national theatre is going to take some construction regarding to textiles

The construction opp to sayar bajaj is for susee trucks (commercial vehicles) , first two floors for them and remaining floors are for rent...
Now coming for CMC kannigapuram campus, its great news praveen .. Actually cmc mgmt wants to develope their new campus around thier mother town vellore but they dont get adequate land , so only they opted for CTR campus (for some outpatient block and kidney related treatment block). Our govt can consider for allotment of land bank to CMC as it will pave the way for developement of not only vellore but also for our state also...

Chennai, Dec 19 — Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa Wednesday announced as many as 343 measures for the development of the state, which inlude industrial estates, energy parks, a mega power project, a ship building yard and developing tourist centres.

The three-day conference here of district collectors and police officers also decided to phase-out 35 Ambassador cars used for VIP escorts and convoys in Chennai and to induct high-speed vehicles and SUVs for senior police officials.

Reminding the officials that people are the ultimate masters in a democracy, Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa said: "All of us are here to help them lead a life of dignity free from want and full of opportunity and hope."

She said a solar energy park, fish processing parks and an mega power project would be set up in Ramanathapuram district while upgrading the Ramnad-Tuticorin road into four lanes to develop an industrial corridor.

Jayalalithaa said industrial estates would be established in Dharmapuri and Ariyalur districts and a textile park for Perambalur district would be sanctioned.

She added that a feasibility study for an information technology park at Vellore will be undertaken while the compensation in land acquisition for GAIL's pipeline project in Tiruppur will be linked to the market value.

The chief minister said Muthupettai in Tiruvarur district, Pachamalai hills in Tiruchirapalli district and Avalpoonthurai in Erode district would be developed as tourist areas.

The chief minister also said that the government would be amending the Goondas Act to include cyber crime.

230. For expansion of Vellore bus stand, a feasibility study will be undertaken.
231. A Feasibility study for an IT Park at Vellore will be undertaken.

Other important
232. Two more A.R. platoons will be sanctioned for Vellore.
233. One Traffic Police Station will be sanctioned for Arakkonam in Vellore District.
234. Quarters for 162 A.R. Police personnel will be constructed for Vellore.
291. Baggage Scanners will be provided to Central Prisons at Puzhal, Vellore, Cuddalore and Salem at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs each.
302. A building will be provided for the Police Hospital in Vellore.

Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts had their share of new schemes in the 343 announcements made by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at the end of a three-day conference of Collectors and police officers in Chennai on Wednesday.

Some of the highlights of the announcements included conducting feasibility studies for the expansion of the Vellore new bus stand, setting up of an Information Technology park at Vellore and preparing a Detailed Project Report for developing the 14-km-long Girivalam path in Tiruvannamalai by widening it and providing emergency lanes.

For Vellore district, Ms. Jayalalithaa said two more platoons of Armed Reserve police would be sanctioned and quarters constructed for 162 Armed Reserve police personnel. Sanctioning of a traffic police station for Arakkonam and a building for the police hospital in Vellore were the other announcements for Vellore district.

Along with the Central Prisons at Puzhal, Cuddalore and Salem, the Central Prison at Vellore would receive baggage scanner at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh. Taluk Supply Officers in the cadre of deputy tahsildars would receive vehicles in Vellore district.

Tiruvannamalai

Seven announcements made by Ms. Jayalalithaa were with regard to Tiruvannamalai district.

They are as follows: all expenditure in connection with Girivalam and other festivals in Tiruvannamalai temple would be borne entirely by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.

A milk federation and a separate highways division would be established in Tiruvannamalai.

Funds would be provided for land acquisition to provide pathways to burialgrounds of BCs and MBCs in Tiruvannamalai district. Five acres of land would be allotted for functioning of permanent bus stands at Chengam, Thandarampattu and Vettavalam in Tiruvannamalai district. Two Armed Reserve platoons would be sanctioned for Tiruvannamalai.

Again no reganisation for Vellore , IT park and Vellore new bus stand expansion is long back commitment given by government but feasibility studies will be undertaken sounds like may be or not

Can you anyone tell about cine producers and directors details from our Vellore district

All the Tamil movies stories are penned to proud only about down south tamil nadu towns ,even Kollywood as forgotten the first South Indian movie was taken by Vellore Natarajan in 1816 movie name Keesagavatham

Our historical city Vellore and our district towns are not highlighted in any movies its saddest part .

If ADMK comes again for compaining for election without completing Vellore bus stand extention, IT park, SEZs at Vellore & Ranipet, flyovers which was commited during the last election, peoples will teach a good lesson.

I feel getting IT park, SEZs, bus stand extension, TNSTC-Vellore will fullfill some of our main needs. Lets see if that been executed properly and completed.

Our Vellore needs more infrastructure and development still its been called as semi-urban cum rural bazzar ,atleast Vellore corporation limit should be developed as 100% urban locality by implementing IT park,SEZ,industrial estates .

Why none of the authorities are not taking any steps to change the Katpadi Junction name as Vellore Junction ,being one among in top ten more revenue generating junction our Katpadi Junction looks worst while comparing with other Tamil Nadu cities Junction

Sorry praveen i actually mistook the building construction near maruti showroom to the one opp to sayar bajaj,,, The construction opposite to sayar bajaj is some commercial complex and i will update soon

Yes sumugan , few months before minister had discussions with officials for the expansion of new bus stand with project plan but now they have announced that feasible study would be carried out And also same in the case of IT park as land was identified near rangapuram and now the announcement of feasible study Why they are not realising the vast potential of our vellore .We cannot only stay on private concerns like VIT, CMC, Golden temple for the developement of our city and surroundings but govt also have to play thier part to make our city as one of the leading tier2 city of Tamilnadu. What else they want ? We have top educational institutions, worldclass medical facility, great transport connectivity, future hub for tourism, phenomenal location between two fast growing metros, polite and peaceful society..etc..,

We peoples in Vellore must meet our Health Minister and the councilor to get the progress on these areas. It is very difficult to accept they did not do any improvements even we have such good potentials.

The SEZ, IT Park in Vellore announced when DMK was in power, and they did not even find the location to setup. The other SEZs are started functioning, but Vellore SEZ is still in the name list.

Also Vellore considered for high temperature, but even we did not get any news to bring solar hub, solar park etc., I am not sure how to turn them to make attention.

Yes kkelvin we have to do something to get the proposed plans for vellore to be materalised but i dont know the correct way. Although, Without these plans yet implemented our vellore is in fast track of developement and one can imagine what the rate of growth would be if its all done. Lets wait and see , i have belief that our Minister and Mayor with other officials will definetly get these plans implemented
