I would support naming of NMIA after JRD Tata - PIONEER of Indian aviation !!!
Unfortunately politics won't allow him any place on any airport

Flew the first commercial cargo flight into Maharashtra Setup base of his Airline in Maharashtra's first Airport. He definitely was the face of Maharashtra's Aviation. NMIA should be named after him in gratitude for what he did for the State! |

My suggestion is name it after A P J Abdul Kalam......ke is a well respected man and deserves something like this to be named after him.......

Either keep it as NMIA or name it after JRD Tata.
If and when it gets built, it will be Mumbai's the only second chance to pay a tribute to JRD Tata. No other city's airport has that much relevance to the Tata legacy as it has for Mumbai's.
