BGC needs a state-of-the-art cinemas. I guess this is the missing link to complete my BGC hop. Too bad SM aquired it rights for an IMAX Franchise. It would be better also if Ayala can have one for this franchise and put their signature entity.

The suites and retail component is by GF & Partners while the office component is by LVL architects.

Well if SM holds an exclusivity clause with their IMAX fanchise, there's nothing much anybody else can do about it. I don't even know if Ayala is interested in such a facility, but yeah it would be great to have a giant IMAX theater in the BGC as an Ayala offering. I hope the one in SM Aura doesn't disappoint.

Add to that the fact that the PSE building project will also incorporate a commercial component, a 6 star Shang Hotel and considering the whole project will be patterned after the IFC complex in Hong Kong no less, will surely make the WestBlock development, where the PSE will be, one very nice and sosy block indeed. Guess if one looks at the big picture (the whole WestBlock project) so to speak instead of being fixated with just the PSE building's architecture will allow one for a better appreciation for the PSE building especially as it relates to its immediate surrounding. Without a doubt this WestBlock is really going to be an awesome development and future attraction in BGC and the fact that the PSE is lucky enough to be situated in this very prime location only makes it even better imho and leaves very little really for me to complain about. For me I'd rather have the PSE as it is right now (in a decent looking building in a great location) than have the PSE in a better looking building in its originally donated lot location. Prestige for the PSE may prove to be less about a better looking or iconic building even but more of having a good enough looking building named after it located in a great location. In the end of the day it's still location, location, location and as far as prestige goes it is really Fifth Ave./WestBlock when talking about the primest location in BGC / Fort Bonifacio. And that's exactly where the unified PSE is at. My opinion only of course.
Yes I agree the complex as a whole is very nice it just seems a missed opportunity to build a truly iconic office tower in one of the primest locations in BGC. If only they had kept the original design for PSE, same goes for Shang...original design was better. That said all the towers do look good just not amazing.

That's the BGC leveling up right there.

Nicely done Ayala, especially with the design coordination with Shangri La.

tama. a trading floor is mostly "symbolic" nowadays, mga brokers na lang mostly nandun. di gaya when i was a kid na people had to go there or make a phone call to make orders

NASDAQ in the US also has no physical trading floor.

if you based it on Handel's website, it's 30 floors. and also, kung bibilangin mo yung floors sa renders, mukhang 30 din

PSE made the right decision when they transferred from their Boni South lot to WSB.

But I still prefer the tripod design. That one is really iconic and deserving to be placed in the most prime block in BGC. Indeed a truly triple A building.

Will the new building be LEED certified?

ALWAYS THE OPTIMIST

Instead of Chanel, I would prefer to see the Apple, Inc. logo.
(It was mentioned an Apple Store would open here)

Yah i agree apple wud be perfect in that location. I just hope apple dreams up new groundbreaking innovation in their future prods and not just add the height like in the iphone 5 or add more storage space in the upcoming new ipad.

Agreed, a Apple store there would be much more exciting than Chanel

I would agree. It will also bring more people in the area than Chanel's high-end target demographic. Maybe those people might be lured to invest in the Stock Exchange after they visit the Apple store.. But both brands, if present, will be most awesome.
