Well cultural troupes from India are often invited as part of the celebrations by Tamil organisations and the Ministry of Arts & Culture but there are also local religious and cultural groups who take part in the festivities. Tamil movies and cultural programs are aired on the day of the festival on the national television.

Not really...Mauritians are not really into the cinema culture. Indian movies from India are projected at random...

If I am correct there is a hindu temple at a beautiful place where regularly they have some annual convention and lot of people from North visit during that time.

I think you are referring to Ganga Talao which is more of a pilgrimage site. Not sure though.

I worked in a Insurance project (done in AS400) in late nineties and I am sure they have much more software use than in India.

The economy is Mauritius is largely diversified and Tamil ( by Tamil I'm referring to Tamil Hindus) people are into every sphere as people have evolved over the generations.

There is no 'software' industry in Mauritius per se...it is called the Information Technology sector and comprises of software, outsourcing, off shoring, Hi-tech, networking, and many other fields.

Practically the same...it's only that the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) sector in Mauritius have been merged and integrated into other economic fields.

How often Tamil people from Mauritius come to Chennai or TN.
Is is very often or rare just i wanted to know if they depend of India like Malaysian tamils or just occassional visit to some temples only.
