What we see today in this video is just the front skyline and what will be future, but if they could show what they have already made today in any video would have been great.....

Also, probably a minor mistake, but we would expect a world class level city coming up should take care of this things.... "Two different metro station design shown in two different views in the video.."

QC1 and QC2 are visible behind the 3 cylindrical towers(just above the spire of diamond tower).

I would hope so, since even the 410 meter Diamond Tower only just fails to qualify for the permission. So the rest, including the 350 m tall gateway towers, should get clearance from AAI, if they abide by their own rules.

EA Group to invest Rs 1,000 cr in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Jan. 30:

The projects being taken up include the one at the upcoming Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) in Gandhinagar.

The EA Group is already working on four projects with the State Government and municipal bodies to provide training and capacity building in the water sector. Subramanium said India’s water business is expected to grow 18 per cent annually from Rs 60,000 crore to Rs 1 lakh crore in the next three years.

Agriculture and irrigation account for 70 per cent of the total demand, while water transportation (Rs 20,000 crore) and municipal supplies (Rs 12,000 crore) come next. While the cost of water is increasing, that of its re-cycling and de-salination is decreasing due to improved technologies.

Gujarat and Tamil Nadu have emerged as water-deficient States. In fact, Gujarat has emerged as the ‘capital of water sector’ in India with about 1,000 companies engaged in businesses like manufacturing equipments for technologies such as reverse osmosis and ultra-filtration.

To highlight these points, a three-day India Water Expo, a trade show to exhibit products and organise seminars, will be held with the theme “Clear Solution to Clean Water.”

About 225 exhibitors, 16,000 trade visitors and 400 delegates from eight countries are expected to attend Referring to reports, Subramanium said India, once water rich, is now emerging as a “water stressed country” as its per capita water availability has decreased from 5,400 cubic metres per annum in 1955 to 1,800 cu mt in 2010. This is projected to further slide down to 1,000 cu mt in 2025

Good that Gujarat is taking initiative to address environment, sanitation and water front issues. I am also expecting a few Israeli water companies to enter India in a big way.

CEPT in Ahmedabad is doing very good urban planning works. And with many smart cities planned in Gujarat, though I prefer more affordable ones like bicycle city, I think Gujarat can lead the country in urban planning or urban infrastructure domain expertize also.

I was also searching to find smart city features that are part of GIFT. Of course, the buildings may going to be smart and green buildings and most of energy used in city may come from renewable sources even if buildings are not built by solar architects. It is difficult to go through 120 pages to dig out information on GIFT here but, could find something like this through google.

Gujarat: showing the way for India’s smart cities?

How many smart cities are planned in Gujarat? I think each SIR (or PCPIR/NMIZ/ITIR) is going to be or have a smart city or township. (Developing Integrated, Smart & Sustainable Cities - Vibrant Gujarat - We had long discussion on sustainable development, in particular to resources, in DMIC thread.). Am I correct? Even Union Government plans 2 'smart' cities in each state may be combined with PCPIR/NMIZ/ITIR projects alloted to each state.

Whether a list of companies setting up their shops in GIFT is available anywhere?

Two of the most publicized smart cities are GIFT and Dholera (under DMIC). Also there are several new ports being constructed or just completed (Pipavav, Mundra, Dahej etc) which have good feasibility for introducing smart city concept.

Some of the green initiatives/smart city concepts applied in GIFT are District Cooling system (centralized cooling for entire city), automated waste disposal system (vacuum chutes at particular places in each tower), compact design which encourages use of public transport and walk-to-work concept.There are many more...

Yes, I am planning to make each and every tower of GIFT City once they constructed. So GIFT 2 in line next. But before that I am planning to make 3D model of some other towers of Ahmedabad.

Looks like Kinjal Joshi and group won the bid for making scale models.
It is mentioned that this model was displayed in vibrant gujarat summit but the one that was displayed(model) is different from this interms of material and detailing. Rushab did you saw this model during the summit ?
