The Big D Part II - DT, Victory & the Big Dick

The rest of the DT walking tour:

Memorial to JFK:

Our Hotel, it sucked but it was cheap:

As we left the DT, we were caught by the arrival of our VP, Dick Chenney. Here are the photographs of some of the police and protesters:

And the man himself arrives, we were kept at a distance:

We were finally allowed to leave and we made our way to Victory:

Victory:

Before leaving, we ate at the Victory Tavern. We had the calamari, shared a tuna burger and had a chocolate cake and ice cream dessert. It was all delicious. I recommend it.
Adios.

Good job! Most of time you just see pics of the shiny buildings but this is the kind photo tour I love.

Great photos, nice to see the older buildings getting a look in, the Adolphus Hotel is a special building.

Is Victory a new trendy neighborhood in Dallas?

That's the intent, and with all the new construction, I have no doubt it will be.

Not sure how far along VP is, but it looks pretty deserted in those spots. But I do know there are plans to make it the city's own version of Times Square--or something to that effect.
