As the light show is extended till March 2018, I wonder whether EMAAR has already decided not to have the light show for the 2019 new year evening. Let's see whether the firework is coming back or an enhanced laser show will reappear.

A combination of firework from the surrounding buildings with laser show from Burj Khalifa can also be an option.

Looking at all these rather bland, repetetive and exchangeable new towers, I somehow miss the "good old" (sometimes tacky, but at least "Dubaian") postmodernism of Dubai in earlier days, specifically the 2000s and early 2010s... At least that style was creative and brought a recognizable, distinctive "Dubai style" to the city.

Think of marvels like the Burj Al Arab. Where's that imagination and creativity gone?

Not taking anything from Burj al-Arab, not all towers have the same design goals as flashy 7-star hotels...

Anyone knows what project is starting next to Burj Views towards the Distinction? One plot has been sealed off with the blue fence around it.

The site doesn't have any information board but I noticed a few sings from HSSG. In a week or so I'm sure there will be more information.

Do we know who the developer is? I believe EMAAR has sold all these plots to other developers, but again I'm only guessing

I think that Burj Vista and Sky Views are taller than their thread titles currently say. They're both easily 270m tall, just compare them to Al Hikma Tower or Millenium Tower.

totally agree with you ... I just wish Emaar give us clear and precise data when it comes to height or no of floors

What about the addresses fountain views ... the 2 short twins look early close to 300m when compared to Address downtown that is closer to our point of view than them and yet they look like they are on the 300m level!

Yes, those are definitely a close call too. It seems that we currently have no choice but to wait for these towers to be completed, and then CTBUH will eventually release their official figures for the architectural heights...

The drawings below are official. I saw these in Burj Vista's construction office at the site:

is this the old or new drawings since this project is the only survivor of the crash ... and it did have a minor redesign

I had taken these pics on 31 March 2017. Burj Vista had already topped out by then. I believe these drawings were not obsolete at that time.

Lets compare the top floors with the drawing... the last three floors appear to be according to the drawing.... except some minor changes not impacting the height.

If the actual floor count of BV is same as shown in these drawings.. then the height should be correct.

I had taken the following photo on 31 March 2017 as well. I think it matches the floor count of the drawing.
