Would you be willing to post a link to the SSP discussion? I can't seem to find it. :S

lol I'm not so sure that is wise, we all know how much "smarter" SSP posters are than us low life childish SSC posters. Would be like walking into a lions den.

Hehe, well you can certainly see how the confusion arose, "83 stories RISING FROM an 8-story podium."

Well that's just the thing, it SHOULD read 75 stories rising from an 8-story podium if the tower is 83 in total. I mean did a two year old write this proposal up lol, I'm going to hold out hope for 91 stories a bit longer :P

However even at 83 stories with 8 of those stories being commercial (much higher than residential stories). There is almost no way in hell this tower is less than 300m to the roof Im poopin my pants with excitement!

Just for kicks, similar floor-to-ceiling heights as Aura would put it at around 950 ft.

But it also says 83-storey residential tower rising from an 8-storey commercial podium: that would indicate 91 floors altogether. If the whole project is 83 floors in total, it's a 75 storey residential rising from rising from an 8 storey podium. I hope this thing is 360m+

A while back a poster in the Toronto rumours thread said that plans for a supertall had crossed his desk and it appeared to be roughly 330m tall, maybe this is the one he was referring to?

At this point, I'm sure we'll all gladly take 330m. We've been waiting so long for a super tall; now that it looks like we're about to get one it all seems so surreal. Please let it be pretty.

I also heard rumours last year that Canderel (builders of AURA) were planning to build something very tall after AURA. Maybe we'll get 2 or more super tall proposals.

277/83 = 3.33 m or 11 ft per floor.

You guys shouldn't feel bad, especially since you still have the tallest structure in the Western Hemisphere, the CN Tower.

Yes, but i think toronto can claim the title of the largest skyline without a supertall building. Oh well. There were rumours of between 3-6 supertalls coming to toronto, with a site right beside this being one of them. This was probably one of these rumoured buildings, but that leaves 2-5 more possible towers that will probably come to light by the end of the year to become the cities new tallest!

It is proposed to be 277 metres, so I will move this to proposed skyscrapers.

An architectural spire, and hopefully a properly designed spire and not a stick like Trump would make this an official supertall. Let's hope.
